Need Backsplash Suggestions
Comments (15)Since Encore tiles are out of my price range, this is on my list of companies to get samples from once I pick my stone slab. If you like crackle tile, I think you get the most variation; however, other ceramic tile finishes have slighter variation to them. Blue Frost crackle is one I am very interested in seeing since I favor bluish grey tones, but there are some others that would "play" well with turquoise. If you check the website, there is a number to talk to a sales rep who could make recs. http://www.completetile.com/products/ceramic/vermeere_ceramics/ceramic_tile...See MoreChoosing backsplash to match cabinets and countertops
Comments (35)granted it is hard to match white....but i would stay just one pigment saturation level away from light. In other words you can tilt toward taupe, beige, gray but stay light in the intensity. There is a lot of dark with floors...the ceilings are not high, even with skylight...and you have plentiful amt of upper cabinets. keep the backsplash light...does not have to be boring, but I would lean to more light tonality. Have you thought of two themes?.....that secondary area left of fridge keeps calling out as in placing decorative inserts or pencil strip..something like that [small and subtle]...if the work area perimeter was just basic subway field tile. Comments (1)If I understand correctly, the wall cabinets on the sink wall will be replaced. Give that, I would run the tile to the ceiling, like the range wall...See MoreNeed backsplash tile suggestions
Comments (12)Okay so sadly the problem is we end up needing an entire slab for the backsplash behind the stove, another whole slab for the backsplash behind the sink, 2 slabs for the counters and then have nothing left for the backsplash where the fridge is. In another jigsaw variation we had everything we need except the backsplash above the stove, or we had more seams behind the sink, or an uneven rise, or mismatched veining directions. Nothing worked without adding seams. We were already annoyed about having to buy a 4th slab because the measurements weren’t taken right, but then they told us we needed more even after that, and I’m just ready to move on. Now I need to figure out what tiles to use. We have mixed metal finishes (champagne bronze handles, brushed nickel faucet) and we mix warm and cool tones throughout the house. Don’t want grey. Don’t want white....See MoreMona
