Sherwin Williams kilim beige or Benjamin Moore Manchester tan?
Comments (13)I would get samples. Sometimes people have reported Kilim to have band aid look. Kilim has a slight green undertone compared to my BM Shaker Beige walls (they have a red undertone). If you start comparing paint chips with other chips you'll be able to see undertones. I have another room painted Manchester Tan and it's a very nice color. A little lighter than Kilim and has a subtle green undertone, but I honestly had a hard time even seeing it until I tried to determine what it was. If you're unsure, and looking to stay away from fleshy colors, I'd pick Manchester for sure. It is slightly putty looking and a little cooler, but no flesh tones. I can take photos later if you'd like. Photos of Manchester Tan from Adventures in decorating blog look pretty accurate to real life on my monitor. Comments (83)Without seeing the floors, it’s very hard to say, but somewhere in this post you can see my wood look tiles in my bathroom which are gray and it looks awesome. I would recommend getting a sample and putting it up in the basement. Since I assume there is very little natural light, the tone will largely depend on your lighting. If your flooring has a warm gray tone to it, it will probably look great. If it has a bluish cool gray tone to it, you’d have to see how it looks side by side. Hope this helps a little! Can’t believe this post is still going strong after so many years 😆...See MoreLooking For Ben Moore Beige - Yellow Undertone
Comments (1)missmary, it's a bit confusing because you have two similarly titled posts. Do you have a Benjamin Moore store where you live? It would be helpful if you could at least look at some chips and begin to zero in on what you like. You're describing in words and one picture is worth, well, you know. If you don't have a BM store nearby, then go to the BM website and start looking around. Once you have a kinda-sorta color, the folks here can be really helpful....See Morelooking for a grey-taupe paint with pink undertones
Comments (14)I also love taupe, but getting one that is just borderline and doesn't go flat gray or pink or purple is tough and will also depend on the other colors in the room. I have 2 go to taupe paints that I try first and usually one works, but if not I know what direction I need to move. One can be purchased at Benjamin Moore - have them look up Devine Color Cappuccino and make you a sample. (Devine Color was bought out by Valspar/Sherwin Williams). I think this one is going to be darker than you want, but is that color that chameleons between gray and beige. The lighter version and the one that I think most closely resembles your photo is C2 Filament....See MoreChristina Rivera
