CEFreeman I am buying a Kohler Dickninson 33" single apron front basin sink color sandbar. This is a picture of my perimtier counters (Zodiac quartz) with the color of the sink tab on top, cabinet (off white color) sample and floor tile underneath. My island will be Bianco Antico on cherry. I ordered the sink Monday and was called today because they said it would be 4- weeks delivery time. Oh no no no! The girl called around and said now it will be 2-3 was that ok? Said yes because the white and bisque color sink I could get in 7 days did not look good with the Warm Taupe color quartz. Sandbar looked perfect. Now waiting for them to call with the estimate for the floor and counters. I was wondering what exactly the cabinet maker needs to make the cabinet below the sink. The place I am ordering everything from has the same sink in one of their kitchen displays. Can't he just go there to look at the sink? Someone said they are all different? They are? I have quartz and I like it! Paid $44 per sq ft at Lowes. We have LG Viatera in Cabo. We initially wanted Allen + Roth in Grand Pacific but I think it was $55 per sqft. The seams are hardly noticeable when looking down from your normal height (i.e. when you're standing and working), but you can see them if you lean down close. I can feel the seam slightly, but nothing too severe. A cloth or sponge wouldn't catch on it. It doesn't look plasticky to me but I am not sure what you mean by that! I think the less patterned stones tend to have that Corian-ish look about them, which I don't like. Anyway, I love love LOVE that quartz is pretty much zero maintenance! We can barely see any stuff that we spill thanks to the color/pattern we chose, but it's so nice to know that it's not going to get stained, etched, etc.

Hi, tuesday_2008! To the left of the range, there are three actual doors on the bottom cabinet--we keep skillets, pans, and cutting boards in there. To the right of the range, we have a super susan with a fold out door. While the fold out door is a little clunky, you can't beat the lazy susan for storing small appliances. I would miss it if we didn't have one. I think the brush painted frames and spray painted doors blend well. Most of the cabinet box area is covered by the doors, and the primer was sandable so we were able to ensure a pretty smooth finish. We did tell ourselves we would leave the option open to brush paint the final coat on the cabinet doors if needed, but we didn't find it necessary. I've also heard of people quickly running a brush over the final sprayed coat to give it a lightly brushed look. They seem to be wearing equally well, thank goodness. I think as long as you have good surface prep, you'll be great. Hope this helps!

We ended up going with Pristine, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's been a year, and it looks brand new, no stains or issues. I love it even more than expected. My husband is thrilled and the whole room looks elevated. We used BM Simply White for the cabinets and SuperCore oak natural for the floors. Check my profile for pics in progress (old floors, tho). We've chosen Satori venatino marble subway tiles for the backslash and all these whites are compatible-- no issues with warm/cool undertones fighting. I'll be sealing the marble on all 6 sizes via a dunk in 511 sealer. Can't wait to see it finished-- the marble could've been risky against a marble-look quartz, but it looks absolutely perfect and gorgeous together.
