We are in the process of putting plans together. But yes, we have decided on Pristine with white subway tile backsplash. Ordering cabinets this week. By chance, does any have experience with a Blanco silgranit white farmhouse sink?

Our son and DIL have quartz counters, they saved a piece from a cutout specifically to see what abuse it can take. So far, so good: hot pots do not do a thing. Don’t know the brand, but they are pleased. I have soapstone, which also tolerates heat well, but a very different look. Learned about it on this forum!

@allison_bradie looks that way -- but it may look more subtle in person -- ours does, especially when you look it with a wide lens (right now I'm sitting at my island and if I pull back and look at the whole room as a whole, the counters look well, basically, white), but if I stare at a small section, it does look very pronounced.

For anyone that used white subway tile with Pristine, can you tell me the name of the tile? I haven’t been able to find one that matches perfect. Most r too bright white (with my cabinets too).

@Kathy Strotheide we used maritime tile in tybee light gloss 3x6. It's a hand-made look, without the hand-made price.

Has anyone used “Fantasy” from Spectrum Quartz for your kitchen countertops?

I was also looking at Fantasy from Spectrum Quartz and hoping someone on this thread could share pictures if they have used it in their kitchen

I just had Sterling installed and love it. The background color is white and the veining is gray with a hint of blue, which is what I wanted. We are still in construction, so I don't have a finished product photo of my kitchen, but here is a close-up of Sterling. Pics are from two different angles so the lighting is a bit different.

Please keep in mind we haven't painted, pot filler hasn't gone in yet, waiting on a replacement door and haven't decorated yet. At least you can get a sense of Sterling in the space.

I’ve decided on Pristine in Spectrum Quartz. Depending on the lot they can look slightly different. I found a lot that I really liked.

Over priced inferior Chinese made product. Had a warranty issue with very bad results

Karthika Nair we are considering both Sterling and Impeccable. Did you go with Impeccable and can you share a photo?

@maureen we went with Impeccable. Attaching two pictures of the whole slab. We had to buy two and use one for the island another for surrounding peninsula. No issues so far. It's is very muted lines so if you want any drama this won't be the one. I went with his because we already have color on the surrounding walls

@Karthika Nair thank you for posting the pictures of your beautiful kitchen. Very, very nice! I am looking for muted and no drama. I don't have any gold in my kitchen and that has been holding me back from going with Impeccable. Is the gold very prominent in the slabs? The Sterling seems similar without the gold. I do have white oak floors and thinking the Impeccable will look nice with the floors. Again, thank you for responding. It's very difficult to find photos of Impeccable in homes.

No problem! The golden/brown is not very prominent. Yes sterling is similar without gold. You would not go wrong picking either. I felt like impeccable was more forgiving no matter which direction I went with accents and furniture.  We were also looking at Cosentino but the piece i liked from there was quite different and I went with this choice

What white did you use on your Kitchen cabinets with the impeccable?

HU can you explain why this is an "inferior" product and how to know if it's made in China? My stone supplier said it was made in America. I'm about to sign-- need help asap with info.

I did try two tests on the samples (recommended by Caesarstone): draw a knife along the surface, and draw on it with a marker to see if it can be quickly wiped off.

I tested Viatera Minuet and Spectrum Pristine. Both passed the knife test (leaves black line that can be wiped off). However, with the dark pink laundry marker I used, Pristine stained! It didn't even all come off with several tries with rubbing alcohol. Didn't want to try nail polish remover; wasn't sure if it would harm it.

On the Minuet-- which looks and feels like a less "fancy" grade-- the marker wiped right off. Most of it without alcohol, all of it with.

This is concerning me--I just put down a thousand dollars on Pristine. Then owe 50% of the job when it arrives in town. 😬

I have had it for 3 years still looks like new! I don't cut on it or put hot pots on it..I wipe with Windex.. I love mine looks so clean and classy..

I called Spectrum on the phone. They said only their Impeccable & Sterling model Quartz are made @ plant in S. Carolina. I know that plant(owned by Hersch Glass) also makes the MSI Q Quartz.

@WILLIAM FELDMAN Thank you, that's helpful...in a way, LOL. I had finally settled on plunging ahead with Pristine, and now I don't know what to do. Especially since the pandemic, stuff is coming on the market with issues--including from China--that I'm not sure I want to deal with. I'm hoping that quartz and pristine are not among the problems.

@Karthika Nair I'm considering impeccable and so grateful to find your pictures. Are you still happy with it? Can you tell me if it's honed or has a glossy finish?

@kristin - yes I am.. it has maintained well and no issues at all.. it is on the glossier side but not overwhelming

Sorry, we haven't decided on a new countertop & backsplash. I very much think that Impeccable, or very similar Silestone Ehtereal Glow, would go great in our kitchen with the light wood grain cabinets. Burt my wife then disagreed since she wants all grey or silver veining as opposed to the grey and beige veins. So, we haven't done anything yet.
