Do all gourds seeds need the same treatment
Comments (3)All I have ever done with seed preparation is just wrapp them up in a damp dish cloth or similar and leave them over night in the hot water cupboard or on the window sill and plant them the next day - works fine for me with a very high germination rate - I always soak more seeds than I need anyway. Comments (3)Usally the top is left open. But if light is a issue, you can have a cellular shade made to fit into the opening. Cellular shades work out well on this type of window. You can get either one to cover both windows for a clean look, and better light control. Or 2 so you can have one up and one down if you want....See MoreNeed help - no idea what to do for window treatments
Comments (6)Dino, I made window treatments for a similar bedroom situation. We did pleated panels on each side of the wide windows (hers was actually a french door opening) and used two rods (1 3/8 inch wood to match the furniture) on each side. Then used the same rod/finials and made a simple pleated valance over the off-set window. Both had the same type of pleats at the top and were placed on rings on the rods. Your small window looks too close to the wall to use a finial on each end, however. You might be able to use just an endcap on each end (does not extend out like a finial). I do think your room looks great as it is!...See Morewindow treatment(s) for a window & slider in the same room
Comments (4)eld6161.........thanks. I too am in Florida. My second shutter vendor was here yesterday to measure and price, etc. The first told me I would find the slider "cumbersome", the second disagreed....and offered a reg. slider or a bi-fold slider. Did you have that option and did you use a bi-fold design anywhere? I do see where it would allow in more light, balance the visual appearance of the door when both open, but I hadn't even been expecting that option and I am typically NOT a bi-fold fan.....thx for any additional info you can share....See MoreAnita
