ding ding ding ding: dinner time! Mon, Sept 16
Comments (23)Veggies all prepared, marinade made, strawberries cut up and marinating, just have to make some croutons and tear up the lettuce for the salad. Cellulitis seems to be clearing up. I was so lucky to catch it so early. Bitten on Thursday, started meds on Friday. Meds making me a little woozy. Talked to a friend today and she said her husband was playing golf a few years ago, bent down to pick up a twig, it had thorns on it, scratched his arm, got cellulitis, but like me, knew nothing about it and didn't have it checked for days. Wound up in the hospital, said the pain was so bad if they couldn't give him something for it they should just cut off his arm! Glad for once in my life I listened to someone. LOL Haven't played canasta in 50 years. Sounds like fun. Know you were kidding about bridge, but actually, I was suppose to have it here today. Had to cancel. Good thing because I wasn't planning on having to go to Richmond today. Maybe I'm getting too old to have so much fun! Everyone's dinner sounds yummy. I love to read this post. Get some ideas but most of all like to hear that everyone takes a night off and has either breakfast for dinner or an every man for himself night. Thanks for taking over for Patti, Glenda....and Patti, thinking of you and Harry and saying prayers for better days ahead....See MoreWhat's for Dinner ... Friday?
Comments (12)Again, I'm drooling over such good meals posted here. I'd come and eat with any one of you. Make plenty as I'd be back for seconds. Glenda: I like reuben sandwiches. Don't get to the deli much anymore to get one. Angela: I really would like your additions to the alfredo. I only added mushrooms to mine. Party: Another house I'd like to visit tonight ... who cooked? Georgysmom: It would be hard to choose out of those 3. I think I'd have to draw straws. (I see you chose the spaghetti). Raven: I think I'd like to join you for dinner tonight, not just for the food, but for the good weather. Glad you're feeling better. Phyllis: Had to look up spaetzle, looks good, esp when teamed up w/swiss steak. Bob: I wouldn't mind having either last night's or tonight's meals. You 'done' good!! Comments (38)I watched the grand kids today. Left their place starving and exhausted so I stopped and ate in at a local Chinese restaurant. I had a combo plate of Mongolian beef with steamed rice and an egg roll. Frotune cookie for dessert. Iced tea for beverage....See MoreWhat's for dinner (or your main meal)?
Comments (41)I was out on business calls all day and pooped by the time I got home late afternoon so I did breakfast for dinner as well.....mushroom and chicken liver omlette. One of my favorites. And sourdough toast. I have been in the mood for lasagna (who knows why!!) but really only like homemade so will be attempting to make a small sized dish of it today. Lasagna for one?? We'll see how well that goes :-) My sister is off pasta these days (slimming) and my freezer won't accommodate much of anything and after one leftover meal, I've had enough. Hard to cook stuff like that for a single person and not waste it............See More- 7 years ago
