Comments (8)the thing about pc's is that you can't read the person's face, and i'm bad about wording!!! REALLY BAD!! and i TRY to put things nicely, but i always feel like i botch it up, i try to be nice and sweet, that's my nature, but on here, there's no, smile, hug, or if you put emphasis on a particular part of a word. and that sucks!! cuz you can totally misconstru up a thing by one word!! and also, sometimes, people are so something or another that they don't take into consideration that at that moment when another person may be biting your head off and being a real yu know what about a trade and you want to say something mean, then they tell you all whats going on, you feel really bad!! that did happen to me!! but i was gone, so i didn't ner say the bad thing i wanted to. but we all have to remeber that other people do have problems too. some just cover it up good!! but of course there are the nasty ones!! errr!! ;')) its just something to consider when we trade. especially this time of the year....See MorePost your garden helpers - Pets in the garden
Comments (36)More like plant killer than a helper! I can only imagine what my yard would like like without him...yet, I can't imagine my life with out him! He's my partner in crime! This is Jasper. I adopted him from the Humane Society at the age of 1.5 & he will be 5 in Dec. He is a mix of White German Shepherd & Pointer. I've gotten really good at throwing the frisbee so he doesn't end up in my garden. The neighborhood kids is another story. He is really good at keeping ALL varmints out & 90% of the time misses every plant on his way to them. My most ironic story is before I got him I never had an issue with rabbits. One fall he caught 1 & killed it. Horrifying listening to that squeal & bones crunching. I couldn't get it away from him & like an idiot called him in the house. He comes in WITH the dead rabbit & plops up on my bed! EEEWWWW! I got him locked up & had to deal with the warm & very flippy floppy rabbit. Ever since, the rabbits have taken revenge on my yard! He WAS trained to stay out of everything that was mulched & that got kaboshed when I realized he needed some shade in the heat of summer. I redesigned a corner of my yard to lead a path under the Japanese Maple to give him some shade. Just recently he has acquired a secret admirer that lives on the other side of that fence...a female Yorkie name Nala that tries to escape to be by him. ="" ="" PS: What size should these pics be so they don't appear so big?...See MoreTheresa's Angel Garden sans weeds
Comments (13)lavenderlvr: Those are Blue Angel. While Theresa's Angel Garden isn't named for them, what better hostas to feature than the "Angel Complex"! By next spring I will be replacing the Frances Williams with Guardian Angel which is now growing up a little in a new (in process) garden. I like the idea of the urn surrounded by "Angels". Even the Krossa Regal and Regal Splendor currently behind it could be replaced by other Angels, but I am not sure. I like the upright shape of the KR complex of hostas to give elevation in the rear. HINT, if you didn't already know this: If you want a really great looking blue hosta in a giddy-up, Blue Angel is your baby! Steve, I haven't quite made up my mind yet on the urn. When I do will probably be purchasing it from Hallson if Chris has it in stock. I haven't ordered on-line since I've not been home to receive plants properly. I really appreciate the input and think I might open another thread regarding peeps ideas of what to put in the urn. But you are right Steve (you usually are)! After I took the photo yesterday and looked back with the eyes of a critic I too realized the need for a yellow eye-catcher. Too bad none of the Blue Angel progeny are upright and yellow. If there is any other that would fit into the Angel theme anyone thinks of, post them here in the meantime. Don, do you have a list of yellow angels? Thanks all. Comments (11)Interesting, Sarab, I went to the link and noone can post on it because there is a 100 post limit. I did not know about that rule. But anyway, I got very politely scolded at because I did an OTS(off the subject) post. That one is no longer on the forum. I was so happy about a new thing I had done on the web. Won't do that again. There is a rule about doing that which I had not read before. I do think it was probably there before I just hadn't noticed it. I was told that advertising on here was NOT allowed but I can't see the difference between what I did and the underlined words. My feelings are hurt, boohoohoohoo. The suggestions on the link are great for most but what about the lady who called tech support and asked how to put the circle around the A? [@] Not all of us are computer literate. roflmho I must say that I won't like it if one of my words is altered to advertise something I know nothing about....See Moreflowersaremusic z5 Eastern WA
