New House looks like a cave...Please help w exterior paint color?
Comments (3)A lighter color would look nice. I would try to match the stone work in front, or at least doesn't clash with it..Color??I went with a beige, isn't everybody. One color I was leaning towards was graige (not sure of the spelling Sherwin Williams carries it), a cross between gray and beige....See MoreExterior paint color help for new house - bright and cheerful
Comments (21)Is this the look you want? Lots of pictures with the color combo you are looking at on colonials. https://www.google.com/search?q=white+colonial+black+shutters+red+door&client=firefox-b-1&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj6hPzY9_bbAhVMS60KHYbtBuIQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1536&bih=729 As for the white color to pick - I think you'll find a bright white is too white when outside. Otherwise most paint manufactures have one called Bright White or something very close to it. Realize that where you live, the surroundings, the light etc. will be influencing how the color looks too....See Morehelp with exterior paint color and new shingles
Comments (5)Can't tell for sure but it looks like you have dark stained siding. If that's the case it's going to be difficult to get a brighter color to work. If it's just painted then it will be a bit easier. With the style and setting of the house you want to be careful about how much you make it "POP". A sage green or a gray/blue would work. Darker reds would too, but a lot of that depends on what colors you like and what color the roof is going to be.
