Thanks for the ideas! I am planning to put an end table beside the sofa's arm rest but I'm not sure of a lamp there, since the cable would be visible since the sofa is not resting on the wall. What type of lamp would you recommend for the corner?

On my screen, looks like you posted in the Paint forum. I suggest you post in Home Decorating, for lots of opinions. The colors on the non-removable items seem warm to me: especially the floors and cabinets, which are really pretty! I like warm colors, myself, and with what you have there, I'd just paint the walls lighter, like a nuanced warm shade of white. But I guess that's not what you want to do.... So, my advice is to visit some paint stores, buy some posterboards, and many small sample jars of paints you may like... and start experimenting. I think your experiments will go better if you paint out one wall as white a color as you can, and then you can judge the posterboard colors more easily. You do seem drawn to cooler-toned rugs. There are experts who can help you with this. I'd go to the home dec. forum for more advice.

The first two lights we ordered in brushed nickel, and those are the ones backordered. The last one we already received and my husband already installed bc he’s antsy, so can’t really return....we want something like the first two but can’t seem to find it in nickel. I’ve found similar items in matte black and antique leaf silver. Were in the process of redoing our kitchen, so we are changing everything out from ORB to brushed or satin nickel

I like this for your kitchen. Has cage style but bulb is not exposed which can be bothersome in a kitchen. Can’t beat price. I would need to have measurements of ceiling height? How high is island countertop? Are pendants for island? Photo would really help. I like black in entry and dining room but kitchen you can go brushed or chrome.
