Master Bathroom Updated - X-Post from Decorating
Comments (25)bullielove and motherof3inct - Yes, the Linen Cabinet was also built custom and to match the vanity - drawers same height and same wood/finish. The original Linen Closet had an 18" bi-fold door, which really only opened about 15", with wire shelving inside. The door was standard 80" height. We opened the width to 24" and the height to 96" for this cabinet. It is free-standing, though anchored, and the frame is scribed to fit as if built-in. Appreciate your kind remarks....See MoreHelp decorate master bath (pics)
Comments (14)The second mat in teak is from Target and cost $20, which was more than the other bamboo one cost I remember. I do not remember where it is from, but notCB2 I know. I like your ladder shelf idea, something light an airy like that instead of a boxy cabinet. The ladder shelf has harsh angles. There is curvy shelving available too, that still has a Zen feel. This one is from Brocade. Imagine it filled with rolled towels and linen covered storage boxes, instead of the frosted cupcakes they show. (Why cupcakes?) Something like this would fill in the big blank wall near the toilet. The storage cube is from http://www.bobbyberkhome.com . It is a whopping $575 but Brocade Home has a similar one for $160. It does not have the mirror chrome base to give it that light weight look, nor the stud detailing. Maybe you could add that on your own. You could get an aluminum round cake pan for like $7 for the bottom and the little metal studs to glue on the pin points for a couple bucks. Get heavy duty 14 gauge aluminum pans so they have stability. Also check out electrical supply places that sell aluminum rounds. Believe it or not, those towels were from CB2 and I see now that they are no longer available. I was at Marshals yesterday and saw some towels that had rounds instead of rectangulars woven into them. That could be another option. I found those posted just by Googleing 'orange towels' and hit them when they came up in the thumbnails....See MoreHelp decorate my master bathroom. any ideas?
Comments (2)I prefer to keep decorative items to a minimum in the bathroom for ease of cleaning. Some pretty hand towels, a hand soap dispenser, and maybe a scented candle on the tub ledge, and that would be about it for me....See MoreDo you put decorative towels in master bathroom?
Comments (30)Have you asked him WHY he wants decorative towels in the master bathroom? And by Master Bathroom, am I understanding correctly you mean the bathroom that only you and he use? (Possibly attached to your master bedroom?) OP, I'm sorry but I agree there's something "off" about your whole post. If it's thoroughly legit, my apologies, but I think those who mentioned abuse are unfortunately on to something. Reasonable adults don't throw "fits" nor are they "extremely upset" over towels in a bathroom, decorative or otherwise, clean or mud-caked. Also, describing behaviours as "ghetto" isn't mature, let alone respectful. If all this is legit, best seek professional advice that goes further than towel location. Best wishes....See MoreM&M Interiors
