What material to clad my front steps for modern / MCM, please help!!

We're finally finishing off our MCM house renovation and it ends with a front of house refresh update. We're ripping up all the decrepit flagstone on our front walkway / front steps and doing poured concrete pads for the front walkway, clear cedar siding near the front door and bay window, new front door / side lites, removing both railings and going with one single cleaner lined railing and we're going to re-clad our front steps - both the treads and risers - with something other than flagstone... but with what? We were thinking bluestone but maybe there's something with even cleaner lines that perhaps we should use? Our last house that we renovated, we did pretty affordable slate tiles from HD that turned out pretty nice. Thoughts?
