Good job bringing the samples home to see how they look in the day light & shadows.

Also, take photos of nightime with lighting.

Be aware different light bulbs have different hues. Daylight bulbs are usually a good choice for whites & greys.

Everywhere. Overdone. Yawn. Do something without fake. Plain white. Or a COLOR. And get some COLOR into the rest of that too.

Your choice is nice, but dark blue or aqua quartz, or something mustard/gold color, could be striking :-) I guess you'd really need to love having a statement counter.

in any case, wood looks great next to it..even if you add it in accessories(a bowl, a cutting board)-brings so much warmth. One doesn't need shelves-but touches of wood enliven it so much, all the scheme.

yes, go with handmade tile if you can-there's something about its nature that never leaves you sorry for picking it. It feels more alive, with its subtle variation. You can go for blending look, or you can go more colorful and draw your contrast from there. Some companies carry very vast range of shades of colors.

If you like geometry-the sample you have is pretty too, introducing different pattern in a subtle way

As for other countertop option-you can go either with solid light color( which I did) that goes with your white-and have more oprions with backsplash, venturing into bolder color or pattern, if it's your thing

or you can turn 180%, do smth like soapstone (which will have its pluses and its minuses). Then you get much bolder contrast-but the nature of soapstone keeps it still warm. Then as you have your main contrast already you go more subtle with backsplash-much like you plan now, maybe moreso

But the plan you have-it's a good plan too. Yes the peak of its popularity is over-but if you truly love it, I don't see why not to commit to something you love if it works with your house. And you have a good eye. Don't worry. Don't let us sway you too much))

( Just in case-don't do these multiple sconces though as on your second inspiration pics..Lauren Liess pulls it off nicely, but what comes across as very authentic when Lauren Liess does it-starts feeling too much of the same thing when others repeat and repeat the same very sconces. Lots of "overdonness" is in repeated allover details. Indulge yourself in small things unique to you..which you plan to,anyway. )

depends on a house of course..I'm lucky to have a house that beg for tiles. And I myself am a tile person. And a pattern person. So we met each other. Me and the house. We met each other-and then compromised...))

curious to know how you like the countertops? Looking at possibly hsing the same brand but I’m worried about how well it wears/if it chips easily.

I didn't go with it.. I went with arctic white and love it. it has a slightly grey undertone that offsets the white cabinets.

We installed lucent arctic white Quartz in 2 bathrooms last year. I have 3 teenage girls - makeup everywhere - still no stains.

Seamom3, do you have any photos? Considering it for a bathroom and kitchen. It seems to have the most classic Carrara marble look without looking fake.
