Building a Home Design Dilemma Kitchens

White kitchen- Blk Hardware w/ Dark Grey Quartz Counter tops?

We are building a home with a modern farmhouse flare and doing so from out of state. The kitchen cabinets are white, walls are white and the perimeter counters are Grey Coastal Quartz (polished). Working off of photos of the model the counters look liked black honed, so for contrast, I selected black hardware. However, I discovered the perimeter counter is Grey Coastal Quartz (polished). Will black hardware work well with dark grey quartz or should I switch to black quartz instead? I was trying to go with the classic white/black look.

The center island is a white cabinets with Super White Polished Quartz (I wanted a lighter island but didn't want marble).

Wood floors are dark blonde. I look forward to your input!

I don't really see the need for black cabinet hardware. In any case, it isn't a thing that needs to be selected at the early stage of a build, or a kitchen. I'd consider stainless, warm brass, polished nickel....satin nickel

In any scenario, the look and feel of counter tops is the more important choice in loving your kitchen. Hardware can be many things, get the TOPS you want.

Quartz names do not vary by region, the manufacturers use the same names nationwide. Its easier to find solid white colors in quartz than granite. Its very hard to find a granite with a pure white colors. To see the different quartz colors go to the manufacturer's websites as they all show the colors they make.

I think the granite looks great: very classic and a big improvement over the tile! I'd definitely look into undercabinet lights. Before, the white counters reflected the ceiling light back up under the cabinets. The dark granite holds onto the light and makes the undercabinet areas a little cave-like. Lighting will make a big difference. I think the previous suggestions are excellent: painting the wall in the kitchen, along with finding some colorful accessories. I had a small galley kitchen similar to this one, and I was amazed at the difference a bright blue rag rug and a few blue dishtowels over the stove handle made.

We have dark countertops, no problem with fingerprints but every bit of dust shows when the light hits. I wipe down the counters in the morning and by mid-afternoon they look like they have not been cleaned in months. We live in So Californua and have our windows open whenever we can, so we may have more dust than the average family. Do not plan to get dark countertops again.

Above pic is the HO's original granite which went from polished to honed in the re-do. "Since Lisa wanted dark countertops anyway....honing the existing granite gives it a newer look."

I think it is a personal preference, but I do not like the contrast of the black pulls with the white cabinets and would do polished chrome pulls. I don't think black hardware is wrong.
