I can't find white glossy subway 3X6 tiles in Greece!!
Comments (3)I googled 152 mm x 75 mm wall tile uk and came up with many results, including the following. There's all kinds of stuff, including the very beautiful and expensive Craven Dunhill. But you can work your way up to that on your own! Try to find a big company that has local dealers near you. You might even find that a big tile manufacturer makes many lines and many names, and is nearer than it appears, and you could drive there and load up. Wouldn't that be nice? It's worth poking around a little bit. (I know I have seen this kind of tile in the UK. You could substitute IT, SP for whatever country you like to see their results.) They may ship to you, or consider a little minibreak on one of those cheap euro airlines. Even charging for luggage, meals, bathrooms and air, you might come out ahead. Or maybe someone wants to visit you by train? Another thing someone on this board suggested to me once was having a very white, shiny, featureless marble cut into the right size pieces. Or are you all marbled-out in Greece! Good luck! Here is a link that might be useful: Just a sample of the stuff out there....See MoreWhite Glossy Convex Tile Backsplash (pic)
Comments (7)Those are great. To me the white looks like a basketweave, so I think it would work in a traditional or contemporary space, even though they are pretty contemporary. Two things: The maintenance is going to be higher because of the 3D nature, with all those up-facing edges. The grout application is going to have to be expert and flawless....See MoreWhite glossy cabinets and white Caesarstone counter
Comments (14)Thanks for the helpful responses. Annkathryn, your kitchen is beautiful. I really like the modern shapes with traditional materials (wood, marble), just what I am going for. Do you know if it is typical for white counters to have very visible seams? Shannonaz, I am not tied to Caesarstone but I can get a fairly good deal on it, and they have a good reputation AFAIK. Also, their Pure White seemed to match my cabinet color the best that I have seen so far, though it is hard to judge with just a sample. I'm getting Belmont 1900 white acrylic cabinets. I also looked at Cambria and Pental. Cambria will cost me more, and Pental's white is almost too bright, bordering on bluish. Pipdog, yet another beautiful room, so bright and clean. I am going with a grayish marble in one of my bathrooms (carrara). Perhaps it is the photo, but compared to the sink, I do notice that the counter appears ever-so-slightly darker than the cabinets, with a touch of a warm tone. Why did you eventually go for the Pure White over Blizzard?...See MoreBathroom floor/wall tiles for glossy white cabinet & bamboo counter
Comments (4)Hi Roxanne, I recommend using Daltile, which is a cost-effective and durable brand, that has a wide variety of options to choose from. Since your bathroom is small and you are on a budget, I recommend avoiding a busy mosaic that can visually be overwhelming in a small space and can cost more to install sometimes. A larger tile or a slab look would be nice options in the space, as they are less visually busy and can be more affordable to install. Please see the options below. Check out their other options as well! This is the Daltile Sail Gloss Bevel 6x16 tile... This is the Daltile Glazed Porcelain Elemental Statuario surface used on the floor and walls... I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions!...See MoreJAN MOYER
