Advise on SW paint colors (Ivoire vs Netsuke)
Comments (3)Netsuke is green. It's popular, I have never seen it show as a light golden beige color. Suppose it could be different in your light. I'd suggest you sample carefully to be sure. I do have a suggestion for you to look at though. It's called Corinthian Column 30YY 71/138 and it's an ICI/Dulux color. ICI/Dulux and Glidden share a color palette called The Master Palette. That's important because if you don't have an ICI Paint store, there's a good possibility that your local Home Depot will have a chip. I'd describe CC as very close to Ivoire, minus a snidge of yellow....See MoreAdvise on family room curtain panels

Comments (13)I love the color of your floors, cabinets, and hardware! I do think separate lights above each mirror would look more balanced, but if you can’t do it right away it’s not urgent. Then maybe a picture or tall vase in between to fill in the center space. I agree with others and would not use a paint with any yellow in it-something with more gray, beige or brown undertones. Silver bells looks nice, or maybe Ben Moore Calm or classic gray, or SW toque white, eider white, or incredible white. I’m no expert at paint though so make sure you put up large samples to see if the whites pull any weird undertones in your space that bother you....See MoreAny accent wall / paint color ideas based on these curtains?
Comments (10)@Luna A. it's hard to give advice in a vacuum--can you post a couple of photos of the room and the curtains? Although my instinct would be to paint all the walls the same color. The photos that MarleneM posted are so happy and bright, why not go all out? If your little boy likes green, perhaps go with that. I always tell the story of my daughter's selection of Lily Lavender for her bedroom when she was 9. My husband hated the color, but I said it's her room, she should have what she wants! Well she's 32, married, and expecting a baby now, and we just repainted the room last year. It was a small gesture to make a child happy....See MoreJenna van der Velden
