March FOTESS Swap - Basic Butterflies-101
Comments (303)Well, a photo will follow later. I am having trouble uploading so here is the rundown on this super duper butterfly prize. First a Little Butterflies stained glass coloring book. When you color these transparent pages with whatever medium you choose they appear like stained glass when hung where sunlight reaches them. So pretty! Glitter Butterflies stickers, really special ones. Two very sophisticated coloring books: Butterfly Alphabet and Exotic Butterflies and Moths. These are wonderful. A few years ago I bought the first one for my mother and she loved it. There are so many things you could do with these. One of them I will share with Allie and Sophie. We will work on it together when they come for a visit. Thanks Shirley. It was a fantastic prize. I don't often win "stuff" but in March I won a FBS gift certificate and then this cool prize. If I had known it was my month I would have bought a lottery ticket. ;>)...See MoreNOV. FOTESS SWAP - A Month to Celebrate Native Americans
Comments (46)Good morning, everyone! The Bingo words for today are: DEER and CODE TALKER. I'll update the full list for us again tomorrow. I found out there is a book about the Code Talkers. Many of you may already know this interesting part of history. I think I will look for the book because it sounds so interesting. "Throughout World War II, in the conflict fought against Japan, Navajo code talkers were a crucial part of the U.S. effort, sending messages back and forth in an unbreakable code that used their native language. They braved some of the heaviest fighting of the war, and with their code, they saved countless American lives." The book is: Code Talker: A Novel About the Navajo Marines of World War Two by Jospeh Bruchac (Perhaps there are other books as well. This is the one I found listed. Windtalkers is a movie based on this same theme. Has anyone read the book or seen the movie?) I want to recheck the guesses and will post the winner and then people can guess for today if they like. One time a day for as many members as want to try it. No one has them all right yet. Jeanne...See MoreFOTESS: APRIL Chat and Share Pictures

Comments (136)jeanne, enjoy your time with your daughters and putting your husbands remains to rest. it will be a nice time for closure and rekindling at the same time. thanks for a great swap, don't worry about the prizes at all. as you can see, the prizes from April are still on their way... jayeanne, don't worry i won't send. i really thought they would be okay. im sure you know morning glories are hard to transplant but hopefully something sprouts for you. heidi, i am so glad you told us about the flower bomb idea. i am a borderline hoarder/collector and i have so so so many seeds i'm almost ready to stop swapping (but won't even dare to think of that! :) i even promised some local newbies i would send the seeds and i never did. i don't know why but i have had a total disconnect with gardening this year. in other news.... my youngest got accepted to a local competitive soccer league so i'm officially in over my head if i decide to accept that. good thing is we will be adding a driver to the family in July so she can help! last but not least, my eldest is graduating H.S. on saturday so both grandfathers are coming into town thursday/friday to get the weekend festivities going! (both grandmothers are recently deceased and will be greatly missed as he is the first grandchild on both sides!) hope everyone has a great weekend. and as i said above, I'm still "thinking" about what prizes to send for the April prizes, my brain is working in slow mode these days....See MoreEricaBraun
