Is a shower curtain/rod setup sacrilege in a spa style bathroom?
Comments (7)Thanks everyone! We live in SF in an affluent neighborhood. The building we're in is quite average and not fancy, but still valued at about $1000.00 per sf. To me, glass is a a must but hubby is stressing, as we've already spent more than planned. He is balking at my 'tension rod now, glass later' plan, so here's my question.... If we were to install a drilled into the wall rod now, and do glass later, how bad will those holes look?...See MoreBathtub shower doors vs. shower curtain, what are pros and cons?
Comments (3)If little kids in the house I'd definitely go shower curtain. If there is a separate master bath, I'd also go with a curtain (in the non-master bath) - I'm tired of cleaning my glass shower surround. A curtain you just throw away/replace or put in the washing machine, so easy. Also I hang lots of things to dry from the shower curtain rod - you lose that functionality with glass doors. I guess non-track glass doors is a higher end look but I live in a HCOL area and the kids' full baths almost always have curtains, no glass. (To sum up: get what you like!) :)...See MoreNeoangle shower with shower curtain instead of glass doors?
Comments (0)We are going to have our shower retiled and I absolutely hate glass doors! The upkeep, the etching of the glass (no matter what manufacturers promise), and the fact we aren't going to take time after ever shower to squeegee three glass panels. We have a country style bathroom with a claw foot tub and I'd like to use shower curtain for a more casual look and less time taking care of glass doors. If anyone has what I'm talking about, would you mind weighing in? And photos would be welcome too! Many thanks in advance....See MoreWhat color shower curtain would look good with a white and gray marble
