Living Room/Dining Room Combo - design help!
Comments (1)Cute place, i see the challenge, but I am really against a sectional in this space let alone for guest to have to sit next to each other it creates a weird dynamic. I hope you are not planning to put the tv over the fireplace that would also be a neck breaker. I see the couch on the side the two red chairs. the tv on the wall with the lockers and 2 chairs to the dining room side....See Moreliving room design Paint & Curtains- help design!
Comments (71)i am not a pro... but I have similar situation with lighter couches than yours but lots of natural light and light wood floors, tried accessible beige (100%. and 75%), agreeable grey, natural choice, neutral ground, shoji white and one or two others. In process of painting with pearly white at 115%... it's very different than what we had but I really like that it's warm white, but still crisp look and goes well with lots of elements and looks great with my Naval walls in adjacent library and navy accents.. Many of the other colors looked nice during the day but came off pretty dark and more color forward at night even with lighting....See MorePlease help me with design of living room / dining room
Comments (3)Will you be keeping dining table and couches for a while, as you mentioned you will be replacing? That will dictate suggestions for lighting, etc and even ideas for a better possible layout. https://blog.modsy.com/home-design-tips-guides/layout-guides/living-and-dining-room-layout-designs/ If replacing shortly, if you could provide more details in regards to your taste, needs, and style. Either way, could you provide better pictures of the whole space and what your plans are with the furniture. Repainting, if you go that route, should be the last decision....See MorePls help, don't know what to do designing and furnishing living room
Comments (30)Thx LISEDV! for confirming my ideas. 1) True, i've thought about it. to me, art would feel oddly placed. I've measured and feel confident the ladder is the perfect size and versatile option but someone can correct me. It's 25 W x 15 D x 77 H and it provides opportunity for decoration, plants, books, etc. and Espresso frame matches the stairs hand rail. 3) cool! that was 1 of 15 on my list. I tried high pile but feels too high. Now I know the one I posted is perfect, it's similar and low pile. TY! 5) got it, exactly my thought. I like a lighter tone like #5 but #3 (15.75"D x 23.62"W x 15.75"H) match more closely with the cart and I can use as a small leg rest w/o taking much space. I've watched the vid below here on mix & matching wood tones and spreading them apart for a coherent look. https://www.ballarddesigns.com/howtodecorate/2014/08/mixing-wood-tones-in-a-room/ 6) not yet, too overwhelmed. It'll be the last to think about. Planning to throw a white table cloth to temporarily balance out the black. 7) good point! saw but didn't occur to me that it would fit better until you brought it up. i'll go w/ the design you suggested....See MoreUser
