Living room furniture style and layout
Comments (2)Hi! I am replacing the leather sofa and loveseat and not sure whether to go with a smaller sectional or sofa. I need hekp with what will fit my space and not overwhelm the area. I do need seating for large groups. I want it to be comfortable since my family spends a lot of time together in this area. Any suggestions?...See MoreLiving room color, furniture, style help please!
Comments (3)Its a nice big room where you can use a large area rug and even a sectional if so inclined. Your focal/feature here is the fireplace. I think a credenza 25% wider than your TV will work in the recess. Hang the TV on an articulated arm for adjustability. Consider top down/bottom up shades to give you some privacy from the neighbors....See MoreOpen concept living furniture color and style
Comments (1)Yellow is not recommended for an open plan. Listen to youtube Nick Lewis for his important video on how to choose white paint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KDnuPfuro0&t=24s He also has a great video on picking neutrals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEfG5XoJZxM&t=575s...See MoreGeorgian style living room furniture advice!
Comments (35)Ok. That’s good info. Is that a piano in the upper level room? Maybe I was channeling you! I would definitely move the green sofa up there and reupholster two Bergere chairs with a tone on tone pale green fabric. Then do the curved sofas in a neutral tone and put your glass and gold coffee table in between as shown in my layouts. Then add a rice of green art glass to your coffee table. A few tall plants probably Fiddle Fig plants will bring out another green into the spaces. You can tuck the wood and beige transitional chairs in a couple corners if you want additional seating for entertaining. I think a period mirror would be lovely over the living room mantel. Is there a ceiling fixture? If not, I would add a simple but elegant chandelier to the living room. Add a couple floor lamps for additional ambient lighting. If you are drawn to stronger colors, a deep purple would be stunning in the living room. And purple and the green sofa you gave would go together. But, truthfully, if you have another room for the green sofa, to me it doesn’t quite fit these rooms. I have a couple photos I will hunt up for you later this evening....See MoreCarlos King Interior Design
