Corner kitchen sink, large subway tile back splash & possible shelving
Comments (4)Thanks! I decided to keep the larger tile to create a bigger feel in the kitchen...like I said it's the smallest kitchen I've seen (barring a retirement home!) but I'm considering going UP the corner wall space maybe 2 rows difference from the backsplash under the cabinets and then adding my 30 inch rustic shelves on either side (possibly staggered OR resting on the top of the tile where it ends on the wall on both sides (not sure which way I want to do it...again, it's a visual thing for me), and then using the coordinating paint further up the wall for a little pop. Will determine if I go up the extra 2 rows based on where the pendant light hangs down to....See MoreSame tiles bathroom walls, laundry and kitchen splashback? too much??
Comments (9)I do like to have a separation in looks between a kitchen and bathroom. When we made our powder room, which is very much next to the kitchen, it was important to feel like there was a psychological separation between the two spaces. Also nice for guests to feel that separation too when they go to the John! I would think about a variation on the theme for the kitchen. Are there similar tiles but different size shape and lighter grout?...See Morekitchen back splash

Comments (6)Agreeing with others, but want to add. Not only is backsplash choice last, but it also should not be chosen until after everything else is installed. Everything looks entirely different after it is installed, and if you choose your backsplash before that, you will make a mistake. Don't worry about not having your GC still available for the backsplash after everything else is installed. You will actually get a better backsplash installation if you hire a tile installer yourself. Remove the backsplash from the GC's scope of work, and hire someone yourself later to install it....See MoreAngel 18432
