Should I prune a Leaning Shumard Red Oak Tree

This tree has two extreme-leaning leaders. Should I prune anything or leave alone to self-correct?

Details: Planted from an acorn. About 7 or 8 years old. 1.75 inch caliber trunk. 6' from ground to first branch. Estimated 12' tree. I have not fertilized this tree in the last couple years. As this tree has grown over the years, I have pruned off the lowest branches as new height emerged. Last pruning was two years ago. Last season, two new leaders emerged. This season, they got bigger (heavier) and put on a lot of leaves and now the top half of the tree is leaning way over...almost a 90 degree turn.

If this is left alone, will the young branches eventually firm up and hold this bent shape — or can a tree self-correct such a severe growth defect?
