A fun day with some FFEs
Comments (13)Well debra, Scarecrow spent it's first winter in the greenhouse in a pot so it isn't all its' fault. It has three scapes and is doing very well now and I love the bloom. I post the incredibly delicate Noel Weston every year. It is just as delicate as the photos show and I think it is a true beauty. I probably got it from Marietta's and can check if need be. It was very inexpensive, I do know that. Robed in Majesty is an /emerich, Sherry. Nancy, I love bold colors. so I like those bright ones too. But that being said, Isle of Patmos, another Emmerich is a gorgeous thing in a clump. I looked and there are plenty of scapes, so we should have a clump sooner or later. I think I have only four more new ones to bloom this year. Of course, since it is me, there will be a few (but only a few) next year. One of Polston's I can't wait to get and see...it is an odd color that I like, and I love the name..."I'll Get you My Pretty". Bwahaha!...See MoreLots of Blooms including FFEs and FFOs
Comments (15)Well Mantis, even the greenery was gone...I just accepted that it was not going to thrive, took up the label and forgot it..then here, three years later it puts up four scapes and starts blooming. We will see if it continues. When bought Shake the Mountain from CT daylilies, Chris was concerned that it was tiny and would not survive. obviously it did and it thrived. I moved it to a better place last year and it really seems to be happy....We will see. Abilene is doing well. It has pretty colors but is not my favorite, probably because the bloom is fairly small. Thank you Julia I posted a tiny fraction of them since most people don't have them blooming yet. and I don't want to wear everyone out. kay....See MoreLots of blooms, quite a few FFEs
Comments (18)You must have commented while I was, Julia...The weather here has been dry for 19 days...Supposedly, we get rain this week...I do hope so. Why am I never content, but always plan changes in my garden? I won't make nearly so many as last year, but I have five growing roots in pots right now, and I plan at least one more purchase. Certain ones will be leaving. At least I di manage to cut my iris to only one small place to keep weed free now and eliminated one large daylily bed....But I added on to the front bed. Ah well. I do enjoy it. Hopeffully yours will bloom AFTER the weather settles down then. Celeste, my blooms are really looking well, but, as I have complained so much, the foliage is another story. It does not look well at all. It isn't accustomed to freezes after it gets well on its way t full size and it shows. RFK always shows itself I bought one fan of it and one of Emerald Starburst as my retirement present. They both did so well, and were worth the high to me price. It is funny that you commented on Sunset Romance. I considered moving it out of my garden at one time. WEstbourns do well here do. She had a knack for it, I think. I lookk forward to seeing both your posts soon. Julia, Mean Green had six blooms today! Love i and thank you again. kay...See MoreA Few Spcial clumps, FFUs And as FFE.
Comments (8)Thank you all for looking and your kind comments. Kate, I am just tickled with Lady dragon. I do like it so much, so glad you enabled me with that one. Debra, I have Kate to thanks for Great Balls of fire. It is such a pretty intense red, and gold edges set it off. of course you all know Clown Parade is always a favorite and Nancy, little Light o0f Mine has been blooming in a clump for a week and that one is probably not the largest clump. I have divided it several times, It is just happy where it is. Maryl, Navajo pony isa pretty one. Kate and I got that bug at the same time, I think. Thank you, Julia...High praise. kay...See Moredick_in_ohio
