A few first spring blooms.... (lots of pics)
Comments (10)Thank you Krista, Ingrid and Joanne for your kind words. Joanne, although the description says 'strong fragrance' and a few people rate this rose as having excellent fragrance, I could not detect any. I just went outside to check it out for you. Maybe it's this time of day or my sniffer refuses to work properly.... :) Ingrid, I would be happy to post more pictures later. Krista, I absolutely love my Mrs.Doreen Pike - this a lovely rugosa, it blooms a lot, self-cleans spent blooms, has plentiful, healthy apple-green foliage and sophisticated, crepe-de-chine blooms. Comments (12)Debra, I had wanted Jellyroll from the first time I saw Floota's photos of it, and I have been pleased with the first year bloom. Lori, those to are shoe offs, so I like them thanks you. Kate, you know I will be cause it has large blooms and is bright. And Jellyroll is one of those that just makes you smile when you see it bloom. Mantis, I think most of the ones I moved where struggling where they were, but Orchid Majesty has increased blooming so much it i surprising to me. I suspect, as you say, some of the others are still adjusting to the new "digs". kay...See MoreLots of Blooms including FFEs and FFOs
Comments (15)Well Mantis, even the greenery was gone...I just accepted that it was not going to thrive, took up the label and forgot it..then here, three years later it puts up four scapes and starts blooming. We will see if it continues. When bought Shake the Mountain from CT daylilies, Chris was concerned that it was tiny and would not survive. obviously it did and it thrived. I moved it to a better place last year and it really seems to be happy....We will see. Abilene is doing well. It has pretty colors but is not my favorite, probably because the bloom is fairly small. Thank you Julia I posted a tiny fraction of them since most people don't have them blooming yet. and I don't want to wear everyone out. kay....See MoreA few from the last couple of day with an FFE
Comments (12)Thanks you all for looking and commenting. those who commented on Shelby, it usually starts with a bloom or two then begins clumps like this...Mantis, I have no doubt yours will be beautiful. Kate, I have to stand on my tiptoes to get the taller ships and still have trouble It is as tall as any I have...and Nancy Jelly is another quite tall one...not all clumps but some of them are very tall. Brad, you are right, they do have their own merit. I have been so pleased with both Rainbow Maker and Exotic Starfish their first year here. Kate, Laur aalways seems to do the same thing...Canoe then behave. And Mantis, we are getting plenty of rain today...not the last two days, but today, yes. kay...See Moremantis__oh
