They are nice - do you know the exact colors? I guess I was thinking of using an accent color somehow as well.

Stucco color is Benjamin Moore Briarwood. But what I thought was green appears to be gray in other pictures. Click the "more info" on pic above to see other photos.

OP, I think you should leave the fan trim colour. It isn't such a statement that it should be highlighted, and having one splotch of a different colour in that spot will be distracting.

Instead add your accent colour in the deck furniture and the door.

@lindsey, what accent color would go with a type of sage green? I'm also liking the look of a navy as well. Not sure if there are many options other than a green/gray or a blue. As for the fan: I was thinking like a fan of shades lighter to darker, maybe in the same color as the rest. I am sure I've seen that done.

Erica, the existing color is very cool and the brick is warm. That, and the fact that you have two very different materials (brick & stucco) really breaks the house into two pieces. I would look at warming up the stucco and half timbers but leave the trim, columns windows, etc. white. A warm gray (taupe, gray/tan) which Briarwood is, would work well. This would join the two halves of the house into a more cohesive look.

@creative, yes that's very true! I've always disliked that color but this explains why. Yet, I'm kind of obsessed with navy and white, and I'm also a fan of tasteful creative fun colors and accents on a house. But maybe not on this house. Dark colors appeal to me against white trim.

I'd like it to look good but also a little bold. That's what I was going for. I did a bunch more on BM site but they don't export.

Stone. Sherwin Williams or a local company will colour match it. Since the brick and stucco are approximately equal in mass, they should be very similar in tone imo. And stucco always looks better to me in natural colours.

If you want to play around with more colours, look for blues and greens that are lighter in value than the brick. You want your house to look grounded so the bottom half should be darker.

Remember to sample a couple of colours before you commit to buying enough for the whole house!

Another idea I had was to add a front railing to the porch, which is concrete. The idea would be to look classic, not sure if it would just look odd though.

That said - anyone know how best to test paint colors on an exterior? Especially when they're up high??

This was my attempt to match the darker green trim on the photo above that someone posted. It's a custom paint.

Paint great big poster boards with your samples, then hang them on the wall upstairs. Look at them at different times of day so you can see them in all different lights.

Any thoughts on why this will/won't work for my house? I like the combo of colors but realize my house is a bit different.

I thought I'd come back and post an update! I initially chose the color In The Navy by SW, but halfway through I panicked and asked them to come back and do Hale Navy over it, a color I adore from our kitchen. In the Navy was coming out too bright.

I'm in love with the results! I only am having some trouble deciding how to now spruce up the porch area which is why it's empty. Suggestions on that welcome! Planning to cut way down the rose bushes as well.

Looks gorgeous! My choice for the front porch would be a pair of mustard yellow rockers. Paint the storm door to match the front door so it disappears. A nice colour for both of them might be a shade darker than Hale Navy in a high gloss.

I was also considering getting a new door and it could be that yellow. Or red. or white, or medium wood. No? Front porch I thought of painting the concrete (just to the same gray) then Adirondack chairs in either white or color.
