Nice house and yard. Consider choosing a dark bold brown for the fascia/soffit (and, perhaps, around your bold red door) but leave all the window trim white. A lighter brown for the siding you're adding would work well. https://www.pellabranch.com/blog/global-blogs/black-window-frames/ If the additional work to be done is changing out the windows, replace the large ?fixed? window with a pair that open and consider choosing black frames. You could then consider choosing a dark bold brown for window trim as well.

The existing dark bronze color of the siding is already a color often recommended for combining with red brick. Note that what you have already leans ever so slightly green (or so it looks on my computer) but in a very muted way so there is some contrast between brick and siding (green and red opposite on color wheel), but not so much to call attention to itself. I like it!!! However I think siding color should be considered in relation to roof color - since metal roof colors are so limited. What are you thinking for that? Perhaps a similar bronze or greige for the roof....Ive seen some which are more metallic in appearance vs. flat color. And then siding color simply becomes something that is different from roof color but closely related (ie darker, lighter, more grayed, or less grayed). I agree with the above posters that it is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting and it is that deck that could use some attention. Use deck structure (if sound) but maybe replace wood handrail with wire or glass as suggested above - the idea is to lessen the obstruction to the view.

I don't see any new colors that I like better than what you already have. Part of the charm of your house is how it rambles and sprawls a bit, and the eye travels to take it all in, so I would be wary of drawing sharp accentuating dark lines on it. Definitely don't cut down those amazing trees, they make the house look modest, unpretentious and tied to nature, which another part of the charm of the house. Don't get shutters if you don't want them but if you ever feel they'd be an asset, functional ones would be the way to go. Yes, they would be irregular (on some of the windows I would only do one shutter on one side) but maybe you'd never, so.... I think the vast expanse of lawn is very nice for your house. I could see bluebells and wildflowers scattered throughout it, and a low key field of something at the right eide of the house, maybe something along the pathway to the garage (does that get any sun?) Ornmentals and foundation plants might compromise the relaxed simplicity of the scene and suburbanize the look You have a house under the trees in a lake of green.... Might be nice to define the driveway-end of the walk to the front door with a very simple lantern/post marker.

Susie--thank you. I like the Felted Wool combo with Urbane Bronze and was thinking something like that. cat_ky, I know what you mean. Maybe I should just be staying with white and be done with it. But so many people seem to want the bronze windows. The bronze windows also go better with the interior renovations than white does, but both are fine. I am likely selling the house after I renovate it and want it to appeal to a wider audience. I'm posting the original photo of how it currently looks here for comparison.
