Comments (15)Marco, have you heard this one? Bob Rivers Comedy Corp Lyrics The Chimney Song there's something stuck up in the chimney and i don't know what it is but it's been there all night long. well, i waited up for santa all christmas night but he never came and it don't seem right. and there's something in the chimney and it doesn't make a sound, but i wish you merry christmas. there's something stuck up in the chimney and i don't know what it is, but it's been there all week long. well the dog keeps barking up the chimney flue and we don't know what we're gonna do. cos there's something in the chimney and it doesn't move around and it's been a week since christmas. there's something stuck up in the chimney and i don't know what it is but it's been there all month long. well, it's jammed up tight above the fireplace now the house smells funny, such a big disgrace. that there's something in the chimney and it doesn't talk at all and it's been there since last christmas. there's something stuck up in the chimney and i don't know what it is but it's been there all year long. i'll be waiting up for santa like i did last year but my brother says, he's already here... and he's stuck up in the chimney and he doesn't say a word and he'll be there every christmas. and we'll have him every christmas. ------------------------------------------------------------ I know. I am so abnormal. :-) On a serious note, for me it needs to be that Italian guy, Luciano Pavarotti and the O Holy Night CD. Out of those selections my favorite is Gesu bambino Mikey...See MoreWhat's your favorite Christmas song?
Comments (39)Red Lover beat me to it, my favorite is also Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. It's such a bittersweet song; it captures the joy of the season but also something I think every year--how precious it is to mark a holiday and have those you love with you. Especially as I (and those I love in my family) get older, it is a thought that resonates with me. I don't ever sit down for Thanksgiving or Christmas without silently giving thanks that we are all together making another memory. "Through the years we all will be together, if the fates allow. Hang a shining star on the highest bough. And have yourself a merry little Christmas now."...See MoreWhat is your favorite song
Comments (20)Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground Willie I will Always Love You only the Dolly Parton version Piece of My Heart Janis Joplin (the remake by whoever is horrid and should be outlawed) Katmandu Bob Seger I was fortunate to grow up during the sixties and was surrounded by all the Bay Area garage bands and got to hear groups like the Airplane,Janis and Big Brother and the Holding Company,The Youngbloods, Blue Cheer, and even the Dead before they became household words. Golden gate park and the San Francisco clubs were the norm of my youth. I'm stuck in the 50's,and 60's and early 70's too. I have always listened to country. When my friends were into the Beatles in the 7th grade I was listening to Sonny James. LOL...See MoreWhat is your favorite song of all time
Comments (53)Way way too many to list, or even to bring to mind! My top one is probably Canon in D - My heart turns over when I listen to that song. Second, maybe River Dance. I love so many that are already listed in this thread. Someone mentioned Oh Danny Boy and in that same category is Loch Lomand, two ancient songs that I've sung thousands of times. Used to sing them to my kids when they were babies and still sing them to myself from time to time. I have some favorite hymns... Amazing Grace and This is my Father's World are a couple. Unchained Melody - Wonderful song mentioned above. Many others. I love country western and old time rock. My list would be dozens if not hundreds!...See More- 8 years ago
