wow thank you all for the suggestions! you all far exceeded my expectations, I like the idea of a darker grey or even a brownish colors. im amazed by how much better it looks without the shutters! those are deffinitly going. I 100% agree with the removal of the evergreen because i already remover it last year lol this is a old picture from Google maps. but everything is the same other than the tall green tree in the middle of the house. would I paint my door the same color as the paneling? and as far as the garage side goes to i replace the tan color with the same as the rest of the house?

When things "dry out" ; clean out the gutters, remove all the bushes etc., cover the bare earth along the foundation with plastic sheeting and have everything power washed (including the sidewalk). The "fascia board" along the front porch needs to be reduced in size, it should not extend any lower than the porch ceiling. I don't see any shutters in the photos and do not add any. The crisp white trim is perfect. You have the opportunity to do something different on the porch and stairs. I suggest a bright white base coat of paint, followed by a large stenciling of green-black on top, (to make it appear like 12 inch tiles) keeping the stair risers a solid green-black. A holly foundation hedge, adding flowers as you wish. Your roof's "shade of green" is not bad - I have seen much worse. It's a cute house, and with some tweeks, it will be wonderful.

I would say either Driftwood, Estate Gray or Onyx Black based on your brick color, although it's hard to tell the colors in the brick from your photo. The roof color you choose would impact the siding and shutter colors. When you do the shutters I would not reinstall them on the double windows under the porch. Hello Houzz folks - wanted to give a quick update on our project and maybe ask for a little more advice. We put off our roofing project (yay 2020!) but are about to pick it up again. In the meantime we have made some other changes inspired in part by this very thread, so it only feels right to share! First, we painted our garage door Urbane Bronze as suggested by one of the commenters here. We LOVE what it does to ground the front facade of our ranch and it really brings up the darker brown and black in our brick. Please pardon the crappy photos (and the overgrowth!) in this picture, which was taken as the first coat of paint was drying. Looked even better after the second coat! (No idea why this picture keeps coming in sideways!) Next we tackled the front door situation. I'd always wanted a vintage solid wood MCM door to match the age of the house. A friend found a PERFECT fit at a local Restore several years ago, and I finally got around to rehabbing it. After many hours sending, several tubes of wood filler, new glass and some paint, we had a vintage deep blue 3 lite door with black hardware. I'll update with a picture of our finished product later, but the color we used was Salty Dog by Sherwin Williams, which looks absolutely beautiful against the brick and the bronze storm door.
