Comments (10)When I am alone in the afternoon I make a cup of instant coffee. I mixed the coffee in a mug and apparently put the container of instant coffee in the micro. When I came inside about 4-5 mins later I had the most awful smell of something burning. When I figured it was the micro I couldn't even recognize what was melted in there. I cleaned up the mess and scrubbed forever with windex, vinegar and baking soda. It was improved but still smelled when I used it for about a week. It is completely gone now. Comments (15)On my phone I can't type. Or rather I can, but then Houzz erases EVERYTHING. When I use voice recognition, it write almost what I say, but I can't edit without gobbledegoop coming up. It repeats the word multiple times.I think with Houzz's issues we need to cut people some slack. Sometimes a laptop isn't nearby or convenient when we just HAVE to respond to a post! Comments (46)I realize it's a vague statement. I mean it has a more delicate look in an aesthetic sense. It's not a big heavy clumsy look. The actual feel is very solid with good workmanship. Does that make sense? Maybe a comparison would be, it looks like a ballet dancer as opposed to a country milkmaid (but they both have the strength to do what they do). By the burner issue, I mean, that I find it so much easier to wipe clean the spatter on a glass cooktop than oil and grease spatters on burner grates. I have had a beautiful viking gas cooktop in another house and I hated lifting and cleaning the heavy grates every time I used the cooktop. I didn't mean that the propane creates any issues or dirt. Comments (9)I get nervous when I start running low on toasted sesame oil! Because I have problems finding it & usually when I do find it, it's a teeny bottle and crazy priced. When we were in Vegas, I picked up two 16 oz. containers at that Asian supermkt chain out west at a great 'on sale' price even. Gave one of them to my son and then started getting nervous because I didn't have a back-up btl! As luck would have it, I found another 16 oz container at my local Aldi, of all places. Last one on the shelf so I snapped it up and can relax for a while. I do keep all of them stored in the refrigerator because I've read that sesame oil isn't very shelf stable. Question...does the non-toasted sesame oil have a good flavor? How does the flavor compare to toasted? I found the non-toasted sesame oil at an Asian store in Wausau but didn't buy it....because the toasted is a critical ingredient in several dishes that I make....and that I make when I have a hankering for 'that' flavor, IYKWIM!
