Slanted ceiling attic - Flat or semigloss?
Comments (7)If the slanted sidewalls come down low enough that people might routinely come in contact with them, I would choose at least an eggshell sheen. Rather than use a ceiling white, which are dead flat and very white, you might consider lightening up the wall color considerably and using it as the ceiling and slant wall color. This would still look brighter, but lessen the stark contrast at the point where the wall and ceiling meet. My personal bias is that I don't ever use semi-gloss unless extreme washability and moisture resistance is needed, i.e. baths, laundry, kitchen. It is just too cold and glarey for my taste. Many of today's premium paints in a lower sheen come close to matching the durability of a S/G paint....See MoreHang Curtains (room divider) from slanted / a-frame ceiling

Comments (4)You could do cans around the perimeter and a chandy over the seating area. Or just perimeter cans and floor and table lamps. I think with a long chain style chandelier, it would look fine hung in the middle regardless of the sloped ceiling as long as it hangs level....See MoreHow to style with steeply slanted ceilings
Comments (4)Hit post too soon... maybe items like media cabinets would fit better than dressers, as they tend to be low slung and longer. Personally, I’d have a normal bed on a frame in front of the window first, and then filled in other furniture needs. And I’d make sure the closet, if there is one, was maximized to the nth degree even if it meant hiring someone to build it out for me....See MoreSaypoint zone 6 CT
