Four Winds Trees Have Arrived
Comments (42)Laura, I look forward to seeing the pictures. Hobby, it was a Hirado Buntahn Pummelo. I have not received its replacement yet, but, asked that Harris ship it out with my new order that I placed last Thursday. I talked to Ruth yesterday after I did not receive a shipping date for the order. Harris is putting shipments on hold at least a week until the temperature cools down across the country. It has cooled down in my neck of the woods, but, still hot in other areas. So, hopefully next week. :) I am still hoping to get a Cocktail Grapefruit.. It could be back in stock in a few weeks. That is the one that I would like to get for the last of the year.. We shall see.. lol...See MoreGuys FW has valentine pomelo and bouquet de fleurs IN STOCK!!!
Comments (47)Brian and Dev, thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking a while and have learned so much from all the experts here. Discovered I was doing everything wrong so maybe I'll finally get some fruit now after years of lots of blooms but no fruit ;-) And yes the Costcos here started selling citrus about five years ago for about half of what the garden centers were charging. Unfortunately they haven't really added different varieties although 2 years ago they brought in olive trees. Don't like olives so I passed but they were beautiful looking. Haven't seen them again....See MoreGrab your Santa Teresa NOW!!!!!! At Four Winds
Comments (13)Nancy - funny that you mention "Some people have inflos when getting ready to put them down for dormancy" because that happened to mine. This past year was its 3rd year from a cutting and 1st year to bloom but it didn't wake up until late and finally bloomed mid-August. The inflo was still going strong when I brought it inside in October and by the end of November I was like - you're done. Snipped the leaves to the petioles and put the plumie in the dark, unfinished/cooler part of my basement for storage. Even there, it kept trying to put out leaves (completely yellow at that point due to no light) and blooms. The inflo finally dropped off at the end of February right before I moved the plant back to the finished part of my basement near my citrus to start waking up (which I hope it will do now... yikes). lol I'll be repotting it this year too. Before storage - After snipping leaves - And regarding the ST - I keep missing the pop up threads on its availability here. I never got chance to check the forum yesterday due to monitoring the storm here (other hobby...lol). But then this time of year is probably the worst to try to order anything for delivery. April is probably better....See MoreSanta Teresa is small but as described
Comments (4)Aw it’s so cute! I love it! I’ve never purchased a big tree and have grown the ones I have from entry size or smaller. I just stumbled on a pic of my gold nugget from last year and I was blown away by the growth it has had! It’ll be huge before you know it!...See MoreAlanna Migliacci
