About me: Have been a chemist for over 30 years, recently retired, and lived on the 18th floor of a hi-rise building for >20 years, blessed with a balcony that was 6ft wide by 40ft long. I have since moved to a townhouse with a small 10ft x 17ft patio and continue growing a number of container shrubs and perennials in my limited garden space. I have been container gardening for over 2 decades and gardening in general for over five decades. I encourage anyone and everyone living in a dwelling with a balcony, deck, rooftop, fire escape, terrace, patio, or even just a windowsill (and with no "ground" to plant in) - go on and grow what you like. You might be surprised at what will do well and thrive given enough TLC!

My zone is: USDA7 Sunset 32
