The local Salvation Army has been giving bikes to kids, that requested them on their lists. Well, families that are on their giving list. Our club has put the bikes together for several years now. This is the fifth year I am a part of this. Thankfully we now have a heated facility to do this in. We unloaded the trucks about a month ago. Now, the bikes came out of the boxes and needed to be put together. Yes, new bikes that need to be assembled, and aired up. Unfortunately we also have several totally unskilled volunteers, and all bikes need to be double checked for being sound and safe. Some of us, including me do that chore. It was a busy day. I haven't seen that pattern in a schnauzer before. My Fred is a black and silver, but to look at him he looks like salt and pepper.

I went to look up ice wave and this is what I found: Despite showing up on Twitter, in email forwards and old blog posts, these are not frozen ice waves in Lake Huron, from this season or any other. According to UpNorthLive.com, the photos get passed around winter after winter. In fact, they were taken a decade ago in an entirely different hemisphere and aren’t waves at all. Scientist Tony Travouillon shot the photographs while he was at the Dumont d’Urville Station in Antarctica in the early 2000s. According to the Weather Channel, the formations are actually blue icebergs. So marylmi, is that actually your photo? Or something you pulled of the internet?
