Actually, I've never liked the yellow since I did it - it was on the advice of my designer, and I've had to change her whole colour scheme room-by-room since it made the place feel depressing...I thought I'd start with the living room with the blue and add a complimentary colour to the adjoining room after I got a feel for the blue. I do have a green chip up on the wall similar to what you describe..been leaning that way as well, but I'm afraid the whole front of the house will feel too cool then...I'll post in decorating like you suggest :) Thanks

You guys are the best! She read your suggestions/comments/recommendations and I I am happy to announce that our little miss will be residing in a .........(drum roll please) Stonington Gray room!! DD did say it had a very slight blue undertone with the blind open but she is quite pleased with it. It is going to look even better when the furniture arrives this week and all the bedding and accesories are in. She is two hours away so all I have seen are cell phone pics, but I think it looks great. Kate and Jterrilynn - you are so right - the surrounding environment (light, trees, etc) definitely affect color. I will see if she can post a picture when she gets the room finished. She is much more tech savy that her mother :).

Oh my goodness - you are all amazing at this! I can't wait to stop by the paint store to pick up chips for all of your suggestions! Jeana these options are all fantastic, and the Kilim Beige might fit exactly what I've been imagining to add that richness compared to the BM Summer Harvest...But I will consider them all. I'll try to post actual pics on the weekend, and pics of the finished product when it is freshly painted. Roarah, you place is lovely! The gray would be very dramatic with my dark trim, but with white trim it is beautiful :)

Thanks to all for the responses!!! So awesome! And thank you MV for the congrats :-) We are extremely excited and look forward to putting the nursery together in a beautiful manner. Both items are much whiter in the store due to the lighting and they have agreed to return them both however, we would like to make it work with them. The trim and base still need to be painted (freshened up) which is why I’m wondering if maybe I should paint them more of an off white color to not clash as much?? Or, painting the room either a gray to pull from the gray distressing in both furniture pieces or leaving the pink.. We don’t want to paint the room yellow; least favorite color, I’m afraid!
