Need Help Choosing Coffee Table
Comments (12)Yes, because the axis of the room seems to run parallel to the light cove, I'm recommending the furniture be arranged that way also. Of course this may be out of scale and some how not work with adjacent rooms, but it's my take on your situation. Doesn't cost you a dime to move furniture around and try it out. I just like to have my chandeliers some how align with tables or seating arrangements. Sorry drawing is half plan / half wall elevation, but you get the point....See MorePlease help me choose an area rug design/style and an accent chair
Comments (26)This is a pretty room with too much Hobby Lobby decor. You've got vases of sticks in display niches. Reminds me of a hotel lobby. Find something you love and want to look at every day to put there. I chose a couple of ethnic artifacts, but it could be art glass, or antique pieces. Here are a couple of rugs that will work better in your room:...See Morecoffee table styling help, please!
Comments (9)Lovely room. If you want to keep the tray, I’d put a small to med size clear vase and stem (like the one below right) on it, with the candle and your moss piece. A grouping of artful objects. These are not the best examples, but just to show stacks of books. Your table is certainly a good size for it. I think coffee tables — especially in between two sofas — are a great place to display things you like and enjoy....See MoreRe-Do of Living Room! Help choosing coffee table and end tables
Comments (12)I'm a fan of #2. I always like the look of two club chairs side by side like that. I think having them together as one unit balances out the heft of a sofa and the huge TV. I agree that it makes sense to focus on the coffee table first. Are there any textures in your room? If everything is just flat wood, paint, and upholstery, I'd suggest a coffeetable that has a bit or texture or reflectivity to it. What kind of books are you looking to store in this room? I got a three tired brass and glass coffee table from West Elm recently and it is a fantastic place to display 12 huge art books. Better than a bookshelf. When people sit on the sofa, they actually gaze that the books, pull them out and read them. I like that....See Moreingrid_vc so. CA zone 9
