After less than a year in service, all of our Perfect Flame's burners are cracked, one so badly that there is absolutely NO way to adjust the heat. Everything is torched. And, like others, DH can't even get the bolts off to replace them IF he could get replacements. Of course, as everyone has already found out, Lowe's does not offer any help. They carry a couple fo peripherals for the Perfect Flame, but not parts like burners. They tell you to go to the manufacturer. And guess what? The manufacturer told us to go to Lowe's. RUNAROUND! The gentleman at Lowe's was so solicitous and said that he would call the manufacturer for us and get back to us in a couple of days. It's been 2 weeks and no call yet. Don't think there will be, do you? Bottom line (for us, anyway) is that we will never again purchase a "store" brand. It will definitely cost us more, but we will buy only a name brand like Weber, CharBroil, etc. Something at least that we know we will be able to purchase parts for.

I have made this recipe seveal times with fresh and frozen fruit. I have used several different berries, all of it delicious. The recipe came from Smitten Kitchen, who adapted it from All Recipes. Here is a quick and easy recipe I have made several times. Blueberry Crumb Bars Adapted from AllRecipes.com Recipes like this make me wonder why I donÂt use AllRecipes.com more. After seeing a blueberry crumb bar on another site, I immediately wanted to make them but the first recipe seemed overly fussy. I knew there was a simpler way to do it, and lo and behold, All Recipes had it. Once I swapped the shortening for butterÂof courseÂand dolled it up with some lemon juice and lemon zest, they were just as heavenly as the 176 commenters promised theyÂd be. I could imagine easily swapping another fruit or berry for the blueberriesÂIÂm especially thinking something tart like sour cherries or cranberries in the fall (IÂd use orange instead of lemon with cranberries). But if you have blueberries on hand, do not miss a chance to make these. These are easiest to cut once chilled, and store even better in the fridge than they do at room temperatureÂsomething unusual for cookies! Yield: I cut these into 36 smallish rectangles 1 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup cold butter (2 sticks or 8 ounces) 1 egg 1/4 teaspoon salt Zest and juice of one lemon 4 cups fresh blueberries 1/2 cup white sugar 4 teaspoons cornstarch 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9Ã13 inch pan. 2. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup sugar, 3 cups flour, and baking powder. Mix in salt and lemon zest. Use a fork or pastry cutter to blend in the butter and egg. Dough will be crumbly. Pat half of dough into the prepared pan. 3. In another bowl, stir together the sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Gently mix in the blueberries. Sprinkle the blueberry mixture evenly over the crust. Crumble remaining dough over the berry layer. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until top is slightly brown. (This took an extra 10 to 15 minutes in my oven.) Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Jackie that looks like a really fun toy to play with! Maryv I have never had the opportunity to play a Accuquilt Go, but it does sound like fun. With all that bad weather coming our way, Louisiana, Wednesday, we decided to come home today shortening our trip. We had a good trip, but figured it was best to be safe, to avoid the bad weather. Aside from a few maintenance issues we had a really good trip. The kids had a blast and the water balloon fight turned in to a whole family event with all ages getting soaken wet, we were 14 very wet people. I did get a lot of hand-embroidery work done on my Grandma's pillowcases and did get a little reading done in one of the Elm Creek Quilts novel Round Robin. It was a fun trip, but I am exhausted. Got home and spent the better part of a hour unloading the RV and have washed/dried 2 loads of laundry and still have 7 more to go which will no doubt continue into Wednesday assuming we don't lose power from bad weather. Came home and the Easter Lilies and my orange peanut cactus were blooming; haven't been to the back yard flowerbed yet to see what's in bloom there, but will check on that in a little bit. Since I sub in the schools, I'm off when the kids are off. Which is now until Jan. 6. DH's office is closed the 24, 25, 26th, 31 and 1st. They still have tech support, but thankfully he's on call this week, so he won't have that duty on his days off. We will spend it cleaning the house up so we'll have it nice the next day. Before kids, I was a college student and worked retail and worked Christmas Eve. When I did get home that evening, I was worn out from studying for exams and the extra work hours of the previous weeks and just slept!
