Prayers for your friend. My two best friends both got breast cancer within a year or so of each other. One of them basically living on borrowed time now. Both in their 50s. Cancer sucks.

I will be adding Candy to my prayers. One of my best friends just found out this week she has lung cancer....stage 4. So sad to see anyone that deals with such terrible disease!

there are some supplements that work in our cells to kill the blood source to cancer tumors. If you want, I can look up a few and post for you to research. they're nothing harmful to our bodies. Of course, she should check with her doctor on taking anything.

I didn't even know our cells could do that, but they can. I was checking out supplements for some of my health problems and this is a property of some of them. If we're deplete in certain areas (and I have been) it will open us up to feeding these abnormal cells, that turn into cancerous tumors.

I had no idea that our cells worked so hard within our bodies. That's probably what keeps me awake at night!

Raven--Candy has several options for her treatment, especially if it a B-cell subtype. The usual first line treatment is R-Chop chemotherapy, but there are others. Is she being treated at MD Anderson? The best advise I had thru my treatment was to seek out a Research or Teaching facility. They do much more complete testing on the biopsy which allows a more targeted chemotherapy with better outcomes.

So sad to hear, Raven. I wish Candy the best.

She went to her first chemo day today. I am not sure if she got treatment or if it was an education day.

She does not do computers much. She has a hard time with her smart phone. She is in my garden club so we are all close. At least she has a support group.

That would be so nice. I don't know what her new address is at the apartment but I will find out.

She told me that her insurance has not approved the chemo drugs yet so she could not get started. I can't believe they are doing that.

We had her over for dinner last night. Today is her first day of chemo treatment. She is hoping that insurance will pay. She is staying pretty positive. I told her that I have a lot of wonderful friends who are on her side in this battle and we are determined to win! She was in tears and really appreciates all the help!

Perhaps we could send card to her in care of you, to you, and you could then pass them on. That way she doesn't need to worry about giving out her address? And any of us wishing to send a card need to send you a message regardless which address is used.
