Light Adjustable Lenses cataract surgery -- so far, so good!

last month

So it's been just over a month since I had my LAL cataract surgery and I got my first UV adjustment. My distance vision is pretty good, my mid range vision is phenomenal and I am reading without glasses for the first time in about 20 years. Things are so much brighter, too! It turns out my kitchen lighting wasn't so bad after all.

I expect to have my vision tweaked a bit at my next UV appointment. And I've noticed that sometimes my vision changes, like if I'm on screens all day, things start to be blurrier.

The hardest part is wearing the protective glasses. I like the big, dark sunglasses. But the ones I have to wear indoors are awful -- very 1970s Michael Caine. It's not exactly my idea of having movie star looks.
