I'm no expert (kiwinut!!) but you might want to consider pruning long vigorous growth to encourage side shoots because it is from this year's side shoots that flowers may form next year. At least that is what I think helped my vines to bloom this year (or maybe it had just gotten mature enough). ~Chills

Hey all, I planted a male A. deliciosa kiwi to pollinate my hardy kiwi (A. arguta), but the latter is in full bloom with no signs of the boy being ready to come to the party. I'd love to try these little hairless kiwi's, so if anyone has some male flowers or pollen (ideally in SE Melbourne) I'd be greatly appreciative. I would say that research based Extension Service recommendations are real life. Kiwis are large-growing and vigorous, you better get an adequate support system built pretty soon.
