Need Some Info Please

I posted a message similar to this one yesterday, but it must be out in space somewhere or I forgot to hit the post button. To make it short, we had sequential power outages and restorations 4+ times in less than an hour. That resulted in my losing the ability to sign in to my Windows Insider account. The repair shop found that my login had been corrupted during the electrical ins and outs. They did get my computer running by creating another profile. I wanted to leave feedback as a Windows Insider, but cannot use the corrupted log in. I cannot even log in to Microsoft. Do any of you have an idea as to how I may contact Microsoft so that I may be able to find out how my login can be repaired? Or my Windows Insider status unchanged?

Put it into Safe mode and try logging into your original account.

Settings / Update / Recovery / Advanced startup

You should be able to login online to your https://account.microsoft.com

and at the insider forums one of the Microsoft forum moderators if lucky, will give the link to download the little account fix tool otherwise its some sketchy registry changes.

Are you talking about something other than information that was in a browser's cache or some kind of local file? If no, a fresh sign-on should get you back in with the old username.

Manual is at Toro.com and since you didn't mention it being attached to a mower use one of these #'s for mower reference...22040 you may have to dig but there is a comprehensive manual for the engine. I printed it and could make you a copy and mail it to you if you can't find it..(I live in Northern KS) Send me an e-mail. As for parts, I like RCPW but shipping stinks... Or, any descent Toro dealer still can get air filters etc. Internal engine parts are VERY expensive for the Suzuki though...you've been warned. Anyone growing David Austin roses? Need some info please.

I have a David Austin rose called 'Heritage' that I have grown for more than ten years now without spraying with anything at all and it is beautiful. My entire yard and garden are grown organically. I think that whether a rose performs well (after making a good selection, which includes buying a rose that is growing on its own roots, not a grafted rose) it is more important to figure out how to prune the bush than anything else, if you are most concerned with having a solid show of beautiful roses throughout the season. I haven't mastered that skill yet, but 'Heritage' still gives me beautiful roses. Sometimes when I accidentally prune her just right, I am rewarded ten-fold. As an organic gardener, I have also learned this about aphids: You will most likely see some aphids in the spring on the young tender growth of your roses (and other plants). Leave them alone for awhile and don't fret. The aphids hatch out a little earlier than the ladybugs, and are the primary food for the ladybug nymphs. If you kill all the aphids, your ladybugs will have to look elsewhere for food, and you will be depriving your garden of an extremely beneficial predator. Learn to be patient and watch and wait. In just a few days the young ladybugs will come crawling for their first succulent meals, and they will clean up all the aphids. It's a wonder to see. Lesson #2 about ladybugs is that if you sweep your entire yard clean of leaves in the fall, they have nowhere to nest and lay their eggs. They like to lay eggs and raise their young under bushes in leaves and debris. Leave some habitat there for them.

We've had it for 3 years and get soo many compliments on it. (We're renovating now and gutting our kitchen, replacing with granite). It's a soft black with swirls of grey. When you see it in certain lights you can see a bumpy texture which sometimes makes it look more "fake". But overall it has a very sophisticated look to it. There were some chips around our sink during the sink installation but they haven't gotten any bigger or anything. You have to accept the fact that with laminate, any scratches will show. Overall, I would highly recommend it for those looking for an affordable countertop.

Signing in with the old username will not load Windows 10; it just goes to a green screen and nothing that is suggested to do in that green screen will correct the problem of the corrupted old login. I wish it would. As far as what will not load, it is all of the e-mails, personal folders, tasks, contacts, calendar appointments, just any information I had in Microsoft Outlook. I did a search and was able to find the info, but under my old login name; I changed it to the current login name thinking that might load the material, but it didn't. I was able to find all of my material for my password app and was able to restore that, so I am very glad about that. Also, in all of the browsers I use, I no longer have any favorites load and that is also something I truly need to have restored to me. Anway, thanks for your thoughts.

And Mikie, thank you for your information above. I was able to get into the insider forums using your link and posted the problem there. As you said, hope one of the moderators sees it and replies. Thank you so much.

Have you cleared the cache and all retained files in the browser you normally use, the one that isn't working?

Have you tried using a different browser? Or a different PC?

It sounds as if her Windows profile is corrupted Elmer. It will likely need to be recreated (or already has been) and then the old files moved to that new and uncorrupted profile.

Walnut Creek, you'll find your favorites or bookmarks in the old profile.

For IE 11:

Open Windows Explorer

Navigate to C:\Users\your old profile name\Favorites and copy the files from that profile to your current profile (same location with new username) C:\Users\your new profile name\Favorites.

In Chrome:

Open Windows Explorer

they will be located in C:\Users\your old profile name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData\Default and you'll see the file named Bookmarks

Just copy the Bookmarks file, navigate to the same folder location, except choose the new username (EX: C:\Users\your new profile name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData\Default ) and paste it there.

It may seem daunting because there are so many folders to navigate, but you can do it!

PK, thanks for the great info. I had no idea and it worked. And yes, the file had to be recreated. What a mess.
