Want to Help me Arrange a Photo Gallery Wall?
Comments (25)wendy - Great points. Since the original layouts posted above, I've been trying different things with a lot more frames. I'm getting the hang of it, I think. I won't be sticking with anything like the original layouts I posted. pammy - I will watch the height placement of the smaller frames. shee - I know what you mean about the symmetry thing. I did purchase many more frames, so that is helping, but I actually need more yet! Well, this little project has turned into a bigger project. juddgirl - Thanks for the links. Some of the frames came with matting already, which is nice, and I got a lot of the frames at 50% off (after Christmas sales). So, right now I have 17 frames, some matted, and I've spent less than $200. While I agree that having identical frames and matting makes it easier to pull everything together, I'm attracted to the more casual look of a variety of frame styles. I am sticking to the same color for them, though. I know I'm making it harder in doing it this way, but I'll figure it out somehow....See MoreI need help To create travel Photo gallery Wall
Comments (2)I wouldn't order from that website at all. They look shady to me based on their contradictory terms and conditions...just in the first paragraph alone and as you read further there are more contradictions. Go to a reputable website....See MoreNeed help with this odd window in the wall! (photo)
Comments (5)You could actually use that wall for a series of interesting storage - the bottom of the window appears to line up with the top of the left and right walls - I'd use that as the top of built in units. That incorporate your new fireplace mantel. A series of open shelves, glass doors in the dining area for a built in hutch and closed shallow depth cabinets below. Uppers 12" - 13" deep and base cabinets 15" - 18". You could re-arrange the living space so that the couch (I'm assuming you have one) is facing the window and the two chairs flanking the fireplace are placed opposite of current location. With a tall piece to the right of the fireplace, one a little wider than the width of the arch directly below and two split with glass and open between with a piece of art you'd have a very nice symmetrical and usable configuration. A cabinet builder/designer in your local area could work with you on materials and layout....See More3 year old wall decor. Help with ideas. Photos of room.
Comments (8)I love the mirror. I also love removable decals for kids rooms ,they change what they like yearly when young. I also do what you did and keep the walls really neutral since they also change their favorite color about the same timing. Some pictures of her are nice and some place for books and toys along that wall would be great . keep all that quite low so she can reach it all and the decals above. The furniture is pretty fancy so I hope she stays a girly girl for a long time. I like more simple furniture in kids rooms but now it is there embrace it for now. I would also ask her what her favorite color is and use it with the pink. I have to say I hated pink when I was little and I still don't really love it, at best in small doses. I also love a chalk board down low for self expression and to save the walls and a bit later room for huge corkboard for posters, pictures all kinds of stuff kids collect. This is her space and IMO never forget that....See Moredustyperle
