wall colour clashes with floor - what colour should I paint it?
Comments (4)thanks! Hi Linelle, it's the wall colour that's got a green undertone to it. I like herbflavor's idea of the bluey white (I guess teal-y white if there is yellow in the formula?), although I have other blue things like curtains, textiles and plates that might add balance... I was thinking I would do a monochromatic yellow/caramel/white palette with the main elements. But when I cover up the walls with my hand and imagine the blue-y white, it looks really nice... Yes, I have a stainless fridge and stove. I have the BM paint deck. Is there a way to tell from the paint chips what colours are in the formula?...See MoreBrick wall-what color should I paint the rest of the living room??
Comments (7)Nice room. That hearth looks like a stumble hazard. Do forewarn your guests, especially any elderly guests. Consider painting the metal staircase black and it will go well with any color you choose and the hearth as well. A neutral wall color that would go with the brick that is not gray could be Sahara Desert Sand or something similar -- a tan without a pink or yellow hue. You might consider a full window length swag valance for your window -- choose "natural" for your color. https://windowtoppers.com/collections/kitchen-curtains-and-valances/products/roslyn-3-piece-tailored-country-swags-filler-valance-window-curtains-set-with-banded-edge?variant=46144210566 Edit to add: while I was looking for a link for the swag for the window, two people beat me to it. Comments (2)Seems a shame to paint that brick. Maybe one of the photoshop gurus can do a mockup for you of some color options. I'm no expert, but this seems craftsman-esque, which are always so rich in color and contrast. Good luck with your decision....See MorePaint color to go with wood, brick, and flooring?
Comments (9)I would paint the wood built-in a black or charcoal to match the dark color in the brick. Then do walls in a cool white. Furniture, rug etc. and direction light comes from should influence wall color decision if you don't go with white....See Morenopinkybeige
