What color to paint exterior? Thinking white on white, painted brick.

The house is from 1920/1930 in Nashville, sits up high on a small slope from the street, and faces south. It's 1900 sq.ft. w/9' ceilings on both levels and attic space above that - the roof pitch is steep and the house is taller than it appears in the pictures. The slate green asphalt roof is staying. The upstairs windows are white vinyl so the first floor wood sashes will be white too. The brick is original as is the stucco on the front gable. The dormers and end gables are covered in original roof shingles (why????) and will be replaced with hardie board. The stucco may be replaced with solid hardie panel too if it can't be saved. The foundation, porch, front walk and stairs are gray stone. Thinking of painting it all white on white (off white like moderne white, seapearl, or light french gray) with a wood or happy-color front door so that the house will be green-white/cream-gray/brown. Can't think of another way to unify the siding and brick and green roof. Definitely would like it be english/french cottage style (even though it's trying to be a craftsman, ha!). You can't tell from the picture but there are evergreens, hydrangea, roses, lavender, and boxwood in the yard. There are $1M+ houses on the street. Am I on the right track? Your ideas and advice are appreciated!!
