Reached our high today around 6ish am, of 61, and has gone downhill since. After 2 pm and it's 46.

So it was a stay at home day, and I made a hoe cake, fried couple slices of turkey bacon, and two eggs to go on top of the hoe cake.

Very satisfying.

I'm down to losing the last 14 pounds to my goal. Soup. But at least it's turkey stew I made last month and has been sitting and waiting for a particularly cold dreary day as this. It will warm my bones up once I reach the house in an hour and half.

Leftover roast pork tenderloin, leftover mashed parsnips and some spinach souffle.

I make my own shake n bake which I put on cod and baked with oven roasted cauliflower in a spicy tomato glaze.

Leftover lasagna and brownies for dessert. I tried Annie's Organic Double Chocolate brownie mix. It's pretty good! I added walnuts.

I was just going to have a salad, and may still have that but all this talk about soup, I just might raid the freezer and have something hot, like a nice bowl of soup. it's a little chilly in here right now.

I had the last of leftover pulled pork that I had prepared for SuperBowl. Glad it is gone---Im tired of it.

Left over beef vegetable soup.......had a delicious hot pork sandwich at friend's for lunch.

Quite a bit of turkey going on today, in my house too. I roasted a whole butterball turkey that I bought on sale Thanksgiving week. No fancy side dishes though, just potatoes and broccoli. Simple and delicious -- if I can remember that next November I could save a lot of trouble.

We picked up BBQ tonight. I had a wonderful sliced brisket sandwich and a piece of chocolate Texas sheet cake.

Raven I've never tried brisket. I often get coupons in the paper for Arbys and see they have a brisket sandwich, but I haven't been to Arbys in years. Anyone know if Arbys brisket is any good? I know cooking it at home would of course be better but I just want a taste test.

My husband and I split a t bone steak and had a large salad.

Seagrass, here is the 7 can soup recipe:

1 can each of

Mexican corn

pinto beans

black beans

Rotel

kidney beans

diced tomatoes (I use petite)

chili (they say without beans though I can't see what difference that would make. I use a local chili called Skyline but any canned chili will do)

Mix it all together and simmer about 20 minutes. The chilis in the Rotel give it a little zip. At least it's a zip for me who eats most everything plain. :) I really liked having it over rice. You don't have to do that but it was really good that way.

Leftover Korean food. I added some mushrooms and spinach to makeit more veggie friendly. Too many noodles are not good for my waistline.

I cooked a chicken on the rotisserie, simple saffron rice, steamed green beans. I'm on a "low residue" diet for a few days prior to a colonoscopy.
