Don't put them side by side. I know not the advise you were looking for, but I don't think it will do either piece any favors if they are side by side.

Yes true, the only thing is thats the only full length wal big enough for a wardrobe i have in the room which is unfortunate

I think that dresser is neutral enough, in color and style, that you could pair many things with it. Personally, I'd look on Craigslist for a vintage armoire (is that what a wardrobe is?). They are usually very reasonably priced on mine, as they've fallen a bit out of favor. You could also put a painted piece there and it could easily complement your dresser.

I dont love them side x side. Makes me think you have too much stuff. On different walls they can be admired as furniture and not as storage complex. Both pieces s/h straight lines (like your first piece) and different stains/color would work; whereas, same stain different styles, not so much.

Agree with not putting two together -- even if they match. If you don't have another long wall, can you put the one you have on another wall?
