Mquinic rather than look at a specific product do some research and look for qualkity construction features. Reclining sofas are made with mechanisms usualy from Legett and Platt. Look for solid wood frames. Good tailoring and good quality leather or upholstery.

We've decided to go with Hancock and Moore because of the construction of the frame, amongst other considerations. I've gotten some good advice from Duane (formerly of this site and now on his own site) and others (thanks to the replies here, too) and now feel a little bit more educated on Leather 101. We went to FLS but they didn't have a Journey. And because we were there, we browsed pretty much everywhere else and got tired and came straight home, thinking we'd made a decision (on leather color) until I read about problems with the 'Document' line (color sometimes rubbing off), and so I learned more--about protected and unprotected leathers and such. Still wanting to sit in a Journey chair or sofa, I called around. The only place I can find one is Boyles, 2 yrs away. Gee, I changed my mind from fabric to leather thinking there would be fewer decisions. I couldn't seem to commit to a fabric type / style / color, etc. I MUST make a decision and take advantage of H&M's winter sale.

Mark, I'm sure if you actually go to a Crate and Barrel and then an Ethan Allen, you will feel the quality difference and see it. Many unhappy clients leave poor reviews, but the happy ones tend not to. This is the nature of reviewing, which is something the company should work on. As for my representation - I've worked for the company for several years and although not every client is 100% happy, it's usually due to delayed furniture pieces, rather than quality. I've first hand worked with our service team to correct any damages/deficiencies and we have a team behind us that backs their work. If you're interested in more information, I can give you as much as you need to make an educated decision that works best for you, but as far as quality goes, we are on the higher end of things, and really seeing and trying is believing. You will not find this quality American made furniture at Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, or Restoration Hardware (although their pieces can be quite stunning as well). Good luck!

What you may want to do is use teal as a trim on a piece(s) and also in pillows on the sofa, Highlight the recliners with it, don't order them all in that color. Teal is vivid, and works best using it on gimp, welt trim, panels and the like. Now, you will have to use a maker that will do this for you, but many domestic ones can easily handle it. Just to show you what I mean, here's a chair I brought into my store for floor stock, yet I wanted to jazz it up a little. This is a Hancock and Moore Expedition Chair, and I used a brown suede in the side detail panel, then a specialty cross hatch hide on the inner back to create a unique look rather than doing the whole piece on a solid leather. A little detail in the trim work can go a long ways.
