Laundry Room Design/Washer Dryer Buying Tip
Comments (2)Good point. When I replaced my dryer a few years back I bought an extra deep one. Never did I consider it would stick out and not be flush with the washer. Well, it does by about 6" which I hate. I will replace with new units when our build is done - hopefully front loads....See MoreLaundry Room, Entry Room Combo Dilemma
Comments (8)Taking into consideration all the comments and your pictures I might try the following. Put a ceiling to floor pantry cabinet in the spot where the current white base cabinet is, taking out the upper above. More consolidated pantry. I'd stack the w/d on the right of the window wall. Put a bench with a back under the window and run the hoses behind the bench back. To the right of the w/d you could even hang a drop leaf table, that could be lifted into place for folding. Or put the pantry in like I mentioned. Take all uppers down and put in a mudroom hutch/seat built-in, utilizing an opening for the heater below and room for shoes, and having storage above. On the wall with the water valve run a cabinet in an L shape with hanging rod incorporated into an upper set of cabinets if there is room. Still stack the set. The laundry could go into cubbies under the base cabinet open shelving along the water valve wall....See Morenew kitchen doesn’t fit dining room
Comments (29)Orec3 - I actually really love your sideboard/hutch combo. I don’t think the brown-ness of the wood takes away from your kitchen. Your dining room is perfect as it is. If you want some whiteness from the kitchen and truly want wainscoting, the wainscoting alone should solve your problem. Everything else would just be gravy. Just my two cents!...See MoreWhen the insert doesn't fit the duvet cover.
Comments (16)I love the poufy feeling sleeping under a duvet. I did sweat but it’s thyroid related. I kind of missed not being cold the first 10 min of being in bed, ha. When I asked what he thought he said it felt like he was sleeping under denim. ....but he slept comfortable. I don’t use fabric softener. Hopefully it softens in time by washing. Bedroom update: pb duvet is white and dark blue (almost black) stripes. I bought a white bedskirt a while back but it’s only 14” drop and I need 17“ so need to get a different one. Going to order pillow fabric. Going to use the Windsor Palm (green/blue) on euros (putting pb ones away for now) and a long blue velvet lumbar with gold Greek key trim. I need to get a few more majolica plates for around my mirror. Have most of the art. Need to buy the art I picked for above bed but that and the bathroom rug I bought from eBay ties it all together. Still waiting for it to ship. Bedroom is painted. Need to paint bathroom (probably bm Hale navy) and vanity (bm cloud white) Found fun green knobs off Etsy. White shower curtain from RH with navy embroi stripe. Need to order curtains and Roman shades for bedroom. Looks all good in my head. I’m excited. :)...See MoreFutureDriven
