Please help me choose an exterior color for our new home!
Comments (11)I'm not an architect or a designer ....just a lowly poster but something about the stone on the bottom and the weightiness. I could be totally off. Maybe one of the architects here or designers will weigh in on the columns. i chose my stone first. Then I chose my siding color to complement the stone. But, I had no choice as we had to have the stone months before the house project started. I would have done it the same way ...stone first....See MoreHelp with choosing paint colors for our exterior!
Comments (10)Thank you everyone for the replies! Unfortunately we do have to paint the exterior. We bought the house last year and have been renovating it ever since. The previous owners did not take good care of it, so to protect the wood siding, it needs a couple coats of paint. Other than the trim (which was a faded baby blue when we bought it), we don’t believe it’s been painted in the last 20 years. So we figure if we have to paint, we might as well try something new and we’ve always loved white colonials. We do plan on putting new beefier/more colonial looking trim around the windows before paint. The windows aren’t our favorite color but they’re Anderson 400’s in great condition, so they’re going to stay. As far as the driveway, we’ve been looking into lining it with pavers, but it’s a pretty large and long driveway, so it’s going to be expensive. The main reason the driveway looked so rough is that it hasn’t been cleaned probably ever. It’s actually a very nice “pebblestone” drive (concrete with pebble aggregate). I just bought a pressure washer last night and started cleaning it off, and it’s looking better already (still have a lot more to do)!...See MoreHelp us choose an exterior color for our house!
Comments (8)Judy, I realize I have two posts. I did not mean to post twice. I had an error message and a weird glitchy thing the first time I posted asking for painting help. The post wasn't showing up the next day so I posted again thinking the other one never posted. I apologized. I cannot delete it. Why did you send me that link? Are you trying to harass me? Stop. I get it....See MoreHelp us choose our wall colors for our kitchen and dining area
