Well, I just receive a bigger growth tent to install in my basement.

I also plan to add a few more trees to add in my collection and to find a way to water my trees in it efficiently without having to haul them upstairs in my sink. This is my last year to buy any more trees. In the years to come, I will just read and look at all your new beautiful purchases with a begnin smile.

Oh and also plan to start grafting for fun with Steve and sunshine encouragement!

Bob, I think you should definitely keep the ST. I have now used two of them and really like them.

I plan to add a couple of Miho Satsumas to my in ground citrus, and maybe a Pumelo if I decide to risk growing another less cold hardy citrus, I am already growing a Meyer's Lemon and a Cara Cara orange in ground on the 8b/9a line in Louisiana.

My plan is to really get my Friendship tree going, to graft as many varieties on it as possible, because of not having enough space can't buy more citrus trees.

Now on a more serious note, does any of you have a Tahoe Gold manderin or know where one is available?

I have hike the John Muir trail, Appalachian trail, hundreds of miles of the continental divide trail and I have spent 2 year living in a tent like that. when I hear grow tent I mainly hear tent and since my weather is so harsh I was joking about a 4 season winter expedition quality tent being what would be needed for citrus trees. I don't remember the cave entry. If you can point it out to me I can explain the joke or connection.

I am an inner city homely low travel type of person that mainly goes to dancing or gardening. I take my wife to the chic flicks and I attend the Godzilla type movies with my brother. I also just happen to have some citrus and fig trees. My lot is 100 feet by 50 feet with a house and garage footprint of 2000 square feet. Most growing has to be done on my 1000 square foot roof top. Fruit trees must be carefully placed so they get the most sun at the time they are ripening their fruit. Sun and shade change dramatically as the seasons progress changing which areas of my yard get the most sun.

Came up with a crazy idea, I am going to find a mandarin called ,Tahoe gold to add to my final collection. To hard to pass up. I actually looking for bud wood. Nearly impossible.

If I stumble on a Marumi kumquat on PT/FD I would consider it.

It’s going to be somewhat of a maintainence year for me. I am not buying any other citrus trees but will be trimming Ollie (navel orange) and trying to get my other trees growing as quickly as possible. I just tilled the garden and put in a path so planting and working on that has been my main goal lately.

I have to replace my mango tree as all the roots and 2-3 inches of the trunk were eaten by a gopher. Mango trees must be like crack for them as he ate it in two to three days while I was busy doing other things. I trapped him and he is no longer going to bother my trees.

When you find your replacement tree, don't hesitate gopher it.

Also found some good gopher fencing so I should be ok for the next one.

Amy, i have relatives in the L A area,California, that have this variety but can not ship out of state, not even different area's in that state. He told me it is a very good variety and also very productive, he told me you be happy if you can find budwood. You can order from the Clonal website , maybe! I saw a couple of pictures from his property, these were large tree's. Not to my liking. It is available all through the state.

I plan on purchasing an ST and Genoa lemon tree, maybe a blood orange. I immaturely swore off trees after my key lime and eureka died this summer, but after more research I’m ready to give it another go. Everyone’s beautiful trees have me feeling anxious to get started - looking forward to spring! My supportive husband is already looking at plans for a greenhouse!

I have 4 new citrus ordered plus a Shiranui if i can get one but my most important project will be sunroom or greenhouse. Can't seem to decide whether to convert my barn to greenhouse or deck to sunroom but have to do one for sure .

Tired of lugging all the plants to basement every year.

Dev good decision so much easier bringing the tree's in an out especially as the tree's get larger and larger and we ain't getting any younger . Dev just make sure if you don't go the way of attached you don't build your greenhouse to far from the house and your water source . My greenhouse is about 70 feet away from the house and watering with a bucket is a pain .

Brian - Thats my exact predicament , I have electricity in my barn but no water , So lugging water , clearing a path esp thinking of the few weeks when it we had -25/-30C gives me the shivers . And i like to visit my plants and mist them everyday so for sure it will be a pain .

Plans or plants :).

Plans. I would like to put a chicken run in. Pets for the kids, eggs for me and manure that I can compost for my trees.

Plants. I am limiting myself to 3 more citrus trees (currently a cara cara, a bush lime and a sudacha) and 1 dwarf avocado tree, as that is all that I can afford/have room for/ can effectively take care of...although now that I know you can grow healthy kumquats and west indians from seed I may inadvertently add to my collection. (Thanks Steve :)) and I also love Sunshines idea of a friendship tree.

And obviously a 4th or 5th doesn't count if they are the elusive pink lemon or dekopon.

Or a 6th if its a vanilla orange...

Saltysea, I once had chickens. The coyotes got into the coup one night and killed all but three hens. I thought, if I leave the gate open tonight, perhaps the coyotes will come back and get the rest. Of course they did. I thought, now I'm finally out of those darn chickens. A neighbor woman felt bad for me and came over with 6 blown fathered laying hems. No one said life was fair.
