Comments (7)Before going to the expense of buying a new table and chairs....consider looking for a more colorful rug, adding pillows to your couches, and shopping your home for colorful accessories. Art that is vibrant in color. Lamps with colored bases. A tray, perhaps in a shiny metal or weathered wood, that you can top with books, a vase or box, with some color and texture. Consider a printed fabric for your draperies. In other words....think of all the brown as your neutral background and build on it with color. A table runner for your dining room table, with a large bowl filled with lemons or oranges would bring life to the room. You might even consider recovering your chairs, or even having slipcovers made to cover the wood so that they look like Parsons chairs. I think that art and even two buffet lamps on your sideboard will enliven your space. Yes, these things will add up, but I also think your table and chairs are of good quality and are in a nice style for your room. You can do it!...See MoreI want to redo my dining and living room,
Comments (11)If you wanted to stick with leather, a sofa like this would be more streamlined. https://www.raymourflanigan.com/raylen-sofa-202202850.aspx This sofa is also available in a queen-sized sleeper sofa format. https://www.raymourflanigan.com/raylen-queen-sleeper-sofa-260202850.aspx And then I would suggest mixing it up a bit, with a couple of fabric/upholstered chairs. Swivel chairs could be a nice option, to be able to turn easily for conversation + tv watching. I https://m.zgallerie.com/p-23390-aria-channeled-swivel-chair.aspx And you could do a layout like this. Sofa on the wall where you have sofa now + two chairs - in this arrangement: If you like recliners, another option could be a couple of streamlined recliners, instead of the swivel chairs. As one example, these recliners come in a bunch of colors. A long, low console for tv could also be a nice look....See Morephuninthesun
