Have You Found Any Bargain's Lately?
Comments (23)I must say the KTers get themselves some pretty impressive bargains! Our Craigslist isn't usually all that tempting. This morning my DS came over to tell me he bought a nice charcoal grill on clearance at Home Depot last night for $35. He thought I might like one too. I took a look at it, and I was impressed: Char-Broil, nice size, large cooking surface, complete with chimney, door in front to manage the charcoal, enamel-coated cast-iron grates, etc. For $35??? So I drove off to HD and snagged the last one they had left. The man who got the box into a cart for me (it's heavy!) couldn't believe it was only $35, and had to find an employee with a scanner to verify the price. He was shaking his head. Then I took it to the cashier, who said, "You've gotta be kidding me!" when she saw the price. So I think I got my Bargain of the Year rather early. :-)...See MoreHave you found any deals or bargains? Hhhhhhmmmm..............?
Comments (26)I haven't purchased any bargains, but I created some. I've been using this time of isolation to do some clearing out, and I offered some items for free: a heavy Samsonite wardrobe suitcase, the toilet I replaced, a George Foreman grill, and a comforter. I explained that I'd been isolating since March 6, so there were no worries about bringing these things into their homes. I had no contact with the takers; they just removed the items from my porch. Then I was reminded that I had bags of Salvation Army donations in my car, so I offered the clothing for free too. It went to someone who was giving it to a woman getting out of an abusive relationship. That felt good. When I was told she had two kids I asked for the ages and added a box of children's books....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals lately? Hhhhhmmmm.........?
Comments (26)Not a bargain, but good news from State Farm. They're refunding the $500 we were charged when we had to file a claim last year. We should never had had to file, but nobody was listening. Our upstairs neighbors at the Maui condo admitted they'd caused the leak that damaged our unit. However, this happened the day before we were to close on our sale of the condo, and we had to get moving on the cleanup. It's only taken *forever*, but we supposedly getting a check in the mail. It can go towards paying DH's BCBS deductible for his hospital stay last month: $2K and growing....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals lately?
Comments (145)I meant to share this earlier- it's just a super handy dandy thingy that I found at the Dollar Tree ( so it is now $1.25) I keep my charging cables in here and can always find them easily. I keep it in my purse on a daily basis and when we traveled it was just so handy. All patterns and a few different shapes. Mine is about 2 1/2 or 3 inches square. and open- (it also has a net pocket inside. Gotta love it....See More- 8 years ago
