What Shopping Bargains Have You Found This Week?

This week's good deals are jumbo eggs a dozen at Meijer for $.89, spiral cut Cook's ham for $.98 a pound. At Aldi, milk for $1.19 a gallon, cranberries were $.79 a package, four pounds of granulated sugar was $.89. I now have three hams in my freezer, and two more bags of cranberries and a nice supply of sugar. Have you found some bargains this week, groceries or otherwise? Bananas were on special too, $.33 a pound.

No grocery bargains that I noticed, but I was happy to find a sale on bird feeders at Tractor Supply yesterday. I paid $20 for a big sunflower seed feeder selling on Amazon for $45, and $5 for a little finch feeder that Amazon has for $11.

I went to the outlets yesterday and so many stores were running huge sales...like 40% off everything. And yet it wasn't that crowded. If the sales are this big already, I can't imagine what it will be like after xmas. We are talking bargains galore.

I haven't purchased any bargains, but I created some. I've been using this time of isolation to do some clearing out, and I offered some items for free: a heavy Samsonite wardrobe suitcase, the toilet I replaced, a George Foreman grill, and a comforter. I explained that I'd been isolating since March 6, so there were no worries about bringing these things into their homes. I had no contact with the takers; they just removed the items from my porch. Then I was reminded that I had bags of Salvation Army donations in my car, so I offered the clothing for free too. It went to someone who was giving it to a woman getting out of an abusive relationship. That felt good. When I was told she had two kids I asked for the ages and added a box of children's books.

This is a January deal, but I got a great deal on a new chandelier. This will go in my eclectic den/sitting room/game table room I’ve shown here before. It’s meant to be a formal dining room, but we don’t need one. Anyway, after putting together some gifts cards, it cost me $25:

Interestingly, the sewing machine/table belonged to this woman’s dad. She said it has always reminded her of him. (She is elderly now.) Several people wanted it, and somehow she chose me. Hmmm, maybe my dad had something to do with this? It is gorgeous but HEAVY. DH and I picked it up this morning and it’s still in the car! We need to pace ourselves LOL.

I Love love love Born shoes and boots! Awesome finds! Miss Mooz are gorgeous! Jilly those boots! WOWSER! They would get some stares if you were stomping around Aspen Colorado. Everyone would want them! alisande, a descent skirt for .99cents....geez~! Great buy. Sueb20, I like your quilt! I've also have been keeping an eye out for wall mirrors, like YOU purchased. I didn't do as well as you did...but here it is. $10. It's commercially made, but is solid wrought iron. It weights a ton! Jilly! Friday! I'm eager to see what you make.

A one day Saturday sale @ Krogers. .99 lb pork tenderloin. Then free: baby carrots, blue chips, holiday Mtn Dew soda & lip balm. I have half off coupons for ACE Hardware. One coupon is good any "game day". The other is good Dec 20-24. I plan on buying this clock for $10. I'm tired of not being able to see the digital readout on my current clocks if I'm at the wrong angle. :0)

I just saw the post on kitchen gadgets & remembered I wanted one of these. I ordered it. Kitchenaid digital timer. It has mixed reviews, but I'll try it. $9.79. 2 day free shipping.

I got new hand towels at Sam's Club for $2.98! I can't seem to have enough hand towels, these days! I'm constantly washing them, especially this germy time of year. :)

I bought a 7 ft artificial tree from Sears with free shipping it was $80 and I see a $5 coupon and got back $65 in points. Then I used that towards a top chest for DH’s Craftsman tool chest, plus it was $40 on sale they gave me another $3 off in bonus points and I got $10 back in points. I ended up paying $45 instead of $120 I see ibotta has $3.59 back on a 4 pk of Lala yogurt drinks I’ll swing in and got those tomorrow.

Not really a bargain but found a good price on Amazon for a folding cutting/crafting table. Been wanting one for awhile but when DH had to wrap some gifts and had to do it on the bed I decided it was time. Every time we have a project I have wished for an adjustable work surface. This time I decided to just buy the thing.

You are going to love having an analog wall clock Nicole. I became a convert this past year. Love being able to glance up and see the time immediately. I have one in the kitchen, the bath and the "pantry/storage" room we hope to make into a proper indoor laundry some day.

We went to Academy sports, they had a great sale price on some very cute short boots. I don't have anything like that anymore. I like them for wearing with my skinny leg pants and jeans. I was trying to decide between a brown pair and a black pair. Hubby said Merry Christmas get both since they are on sale. I mean a girl has to rebuild her shoe collection! So I got both.

We needed to replace our good electric knife and they had a $79 one on sale for $29. We got it. The best electric knives are found in the fishing department for filleting fish. Awesome knives. I used to buy the ones you find in kitchen goods, no comparison. One year for Christmas I bought my mom and mother in law each one of them. They were amazed at how much better they were. So if you need a good electric knife go check out the fishing department! Academy has quite a few.

Also at academy we both got new slippers. Great price on them.

I used my stores loyalty card to buy a Nintendo Classic for the house (okay for me, but I'll let my grandson see if he can play a Mario game, he might be too small yet). Retails for $100Cdn. I get a discount ($90). Used $85 in points, so I only paid $5, plus the GST on the $90. In total: $9.50. Not too shabby.

Oh boy and I thought the 1.69/lb for Honey Crisp Apples was good. I found Manderine Oranges for .99/lb and end of season sweet Cherries for 1.99/lb.
